The Antikythera Mechanism is the oldest known scientific computer, dating back to 100 BC.? Designed by the Greeks, all knowledge of the device was lost for 2000 years until it was rediscovered in 1901 on a shipwreck off the Greek Island of Antikythera.? Over a century later, we find out that the Mechanism is really one of the first mechanical devices designed to predict celestial events and eclipses.? So, around a year ago I found my great grandfathers old Breitling. My aunt told me it was from around the 1940s, but she wasn't certain. Can someone point me in the right directions where to search/find more information?Ps.
