Most any watch is not represented as well in even the best photo as seeing them up close and personal with your own eyes. The Hamilton Khaki King Automatic is no exception. Opening the box, it was love at first site! The Khaki line is from Hamilton's American classic line of watches and with the Khaki King again Hamilton has introduced a watch that is pure Americana. Another thought I had looking over the watch for the first time was, "this thing is really going to be at home on my wrist when I have my brown bomber jacket on."This watch comes in two versions, automatic wind and quartz movements. Besides the obvious difference in movements used there is one difference that can bee seen with the eye. The Auto version has a brushed SS case with a very highly polished bezel. The quartz version is all brushed SS including the bezel. For someone that likes the style but worries about scratching a highly polished piece, the quartz could be the answer for you and of course you also save a few

AP not so popular in Japan?
Having been in Tokyo for the past week or so, and spent the last weekend browsing watches, I noticed its still all about Rolex. I see an occasional AP here and there, but they don't seem to be nearly as popular as Rolex.I am hoping there are any Japanese members that care to chime in as to why this is? How is AP seen in Japan?I have thought about 2 possible reasons:1: Value retention for Rolex is better2: Brand awareness for Rolex is betterPlease feel free to share your opinions. Ceramic Diver vs SS Diver weight and comfort?
I owned the original SS Diver a few years ago but sold it because I found it too uncomfortable. The buckle and case back both had sharp edges that tended to dig into my wrist, plus the watch was fairly heavy.I love the look of the Ceramic Diver but would it wear any differently than my old Diver did?
