I’ve been thinking of doing a thread like this for a while, kind of an inside view into the head of a compulsive vintage watch collector. This will detail one month’s purchases from the auction to the final on the wrist results. Might interest some of you. Might be enlightening to some who are just starting down the path to addiction. Might hit a little close to home for others. OK last installment for now, I tried to make them harder this time and I will include a FEW subtle hints with the ones I think might be ambiguous so here goes:1) an arrow flew and arrested his flight in a continent aways away.2) a broad head found its place in the land some call waste.3)They come in all sizes.4) I used to wear these to work everyday.5)a gruesome tool of the trade.6)I wish we had electricity.7)Wouldn't a refrigerator be nice?8) Disassemble it, because you messed up.9) Disassemble-assemble it's all good!10)Careful with this one, it'll disassemble you!11)Quiet please!12)If you got kids, especially boys, you'll surely have an idea!13)Too easy!14)Ahhh to soothe the savage beast!15)Sure beats a candle!16)Don't mess with it, its a 5 star.17)Picks it up.

WTF Mascot update
I know that I promised pictures of Devils Tower but the wife and I decided to skip that day trip to hang around Deadwood for our last day in town. We leave in the morning and plan on being home Friday night and the mascot will begin another adventure with the next recipient. Thanks for the kind words. Gotta go, 5am come around mighty early!

5164 and 5712 owners please give your thoughts
Okay, so I have another incoming in a different section. It's gonna be gooooood. But that won't be in mid December. In the mean time as I look to replacing my 5711 I'm considering a 5164 or a 5712. Those who know my previous dilemma about the 5712 may know what's coming in December hehe. But this choice is very hard indeed. Don't go telling me to keep the 5711 cause it's already gone after 3 weeks and no love (I would rather where my RO anniversary in I'm going for the clean blue dial, blue the RO's blue datewheel gets me)Anywho, any owners of either chime in. Thanks! I'm no where near making up my mind. For me, I love the 5712's asymmetry and the moon disc is sweet. But the 5164 has a more practical movement and I actually like the deployant and rubber strap on the 5164...at first I didn't but it's comfy. Anywho enough now your thoughts!!!
