The owner of this watch named it The Vladimir. He was able to call it whatever he liked because he custom commissioned it from Vacheron Constantin. The brand is among the few that will entertain clients who not only want custom watches, but also custom watch movements. This is part of their highly exclusive "Atelier Cabinotiers" department. Do you know what it takes to design, prototype, perfect, manufacture, finish, and test a watch movement? Usually those costs are built into some type of economy of scale. Now think of all that for just one movement. We are talking incredible prices due to all the time and effort involved. Million bucks minimum. Hi Folks,This is my first time posting here and hope it doesn't just come across as being spam! Was referred to this forum from another member. Was on WUS for a couple of years before but seems I've outstayed my welcome.Well, it's been a year since I started toying with the idea: What if the case and watch display is not dictated by the movement? The following is just something I've been thinking about for some time now, trying to come out with a unique method of displaying time as well as just changing the way a watch is perceived.The first sketches for the twin timer design was with a case with 2 movements. This obviously posed a big problem in terms of regulating it. We finally found a twin timer movement that I was happy with and tried to work the first sketches into a meaningful design. Yes it's a little over-complicated, and we hope to refine the design even further. Here's a first peek at what I will probably be working on for the next year!Won't have much time to rework this de

Something Weird Happened
Hello Friends,Tonight after wearing my Omega 3570.50 for three days (received the watch on Tuesday) and noticing how it was only gaining 2 seconds per day, suddenly I looked at my watch this evening and it was 1 hour behind. Don't know when this happened or why, but the real time was 9:45pm, but the watch was showing 8:45pm. I know I'm supposed to wind the watch everyday, and I've been doing that except it's been in the evening and not the morning, simply because I forget in the morning. Anyone have any idea what happened? Thanks in advance.

I've been a diehard Daytona guy for over 20 years and still love them. I have every Daytona I've ever purchased (always new from an AD) save for a yellow gold / croc strap which I traded out of last fall. I got the itch/bug or impulse to finally step up to an Audemars after eyeing them in Europe (never have seen an American wearing an Audemars here or there) and when I first started wearing the 41mm Chrono last fall, it wore REALLY big and all the shiny bits only made it seem bigger. It is very comfortable and I LOVE the look of it. The blue face on mine, REALLY sets it off and that is what seems to catch some people's eye. I got another very special Audemars while I was still weak and still in love. Now, carrying the watch bug in me, I started looking at the PP and found 5167a from an AD in FL and scooped it up straight away. Man, it wears SMALL compared tot he 41mm Chrono! They are getting a PAM00587 in next week and I'm top of the list I had emailed them them back in September when I first heard about the Marina Militare and have spoken to them lots over the last few months and there has been no mention as they had been allocated 1 and it was already accounted for.People don't give up hope. They are still dropping into AD's and Boutiques.I'll be selling my 425 SLC in order to purchase the 587 which is not the best but needs must
