Breitling c71340L2/k527-tt wrist watches news:
The #breguet Classique Hora Mundi, in simple terms, is the first example of a mechanical timepiece with an instant-jump time zone display. All of the displays jump between time zones with the push of a button. Once you see it, the concept is so intuitive, you wonder why it has not been done before. The Breguet Classique Hora Mundi is equipped with the 5717 self-winding mechanical movement, which is based on Caliber 777 with a silicon escapement, in this case fitted with an additional module. The dial displays hours, minutes and seconds via centrally-mounted hands. The date is at 12 o’clock, and the city or time zone indicator is at 6. A large sun/moon or day/night display rests between 3 and 4 o’clock. The instant-jump time zone feature with fully-synchronized displays is the showstopper. This is a world-first for a mechanical watch, and indeed this timepiece has generated four patent applications. Here’s how it works:From among the 24 available time zones, the wearer
I thoroughly debated on whether or not I should even cover this "watch." It is from a brand called Haldimann - eponymously named after the watch maker Beat Haldimann, and I think the man is playing a rather cruel joke on watch lovers. One press release I saw on the watch wasn't a press release at all, but a rather diplomatic article written by a Swiss journalist based on his reaction to the watch. As a timepiece this item is utterly indefensible - but optimistically creative types will claim that it is some manner of art. This latter description is probably the kindest thing you can say about this horological insult. I wonder whether or not Beat will next release a pile of screws and gears and call it the "H10 Potential."Haldimann's H9 watch is called the "Reduction," but to me it is the Revulsion. The watch is "reduced" to a useless tragedy. I should have seen this coming, but perhaps never expected his audacity to go this far. And by audacity I mean it in the American sense"boldly ru
This is my 3rd post. The first two being at the old WTF. After much consideration (for about 2 months and countless times of browsing through this forum) and with the strong encouragement from my wife, I finally took the plunge and rewarded myself with a 2254 last Saturday . Knowing that everyone here would like to see a pic or two of any Omega, here are two pics that I took of my new SMP using the camera on my mobile phone.BTW, need some advise on fitting of bracelet. How would you guys normally wear your bracelet? Will you let you watch slip down to your joint by having slightly loose fitting? Will this cause the bracelet to stretch? Thanks.Cheers!!kwlok
Hello,I inherited this Hamilton from my grandfather. It's engraved on the back with a 1963 date, but I can't find anything on-line that will verify that year or model. I think it's a "Brock", but I'm not sure. I recently had it serviced and refurbished, but they didn't indicate the movement and there isn't anything on the back of the case. Any information would be greatly appreciated - including lug size. It seems to measure 19mm. In addition, I would like to purchase a new band for it. The one that is currently on it (which I bought years ago) seems like it's a woman's band. It's a 'regular' 7.5" lizard band with six holes and has that vintage looking logo stamped onto the band. I don't think I have particularly large wrists, but I've got to use the second to last or last hole for it to fit, and I just want more band to go through the two loops on the buckle side. I'd like to use a genuine Hamilton band....any suggestions? Thanks again for any information.KevinDSC_5419_2.jp
Hi,I am new here, and inherited a 1964 Mido Ocean Star Powerwind watch from my 93 year old father. It needs a new crystal (cracked) and needs some cleaning/tuning, since it supposedly was adjusted too tight and the spring does not keep it going for more than an hour or so. Is anyone aware of a shop in either Western NY state or South Western Ontario that would do a good job, and could find or have the parts? If possible I would like to also try and replace the watch band with a same type and model. Thanks for your help. This is the watch:DSC00057.jpgDSC00056.jpg
