I couldn't avoid the temptation to make a direct comparison between two great watches, having worn my YG/SS Datejust II for a week now and owning a YG/SS Datejust before. I hope that I would not get the ire of the traditionalists who continue to prefer the 36mm to the new 41mm, and to the few who hold the view that the ideal dresswatch size is something in between.It started when I went to visit the Rolex boutique here in Manila and first saw it among the DJs, Subs, GMTs, etc. My first impression is that the YG/SS DJII clearly stood out among its peers. In fact, I remember thinking that because of the enormous presence of the DJII in the display racks, it would be just be a matter of time that Rolex will introduce a 43-44mm Daytonas, Subs and GMTs. As a guy with 81/2 wrist size, it would clearly be the most exciting period in my quest to collect more timepieces.Wearing the DJII gives me immeasurable pleasure. Hi guys (gals), As you can see I am a first time poster. I come in peace. Not trying to start a war between Ball fans and Breitling fans. I've decided to stop buying a new $250-300 watch every couple of years and take the leap into a more valuable watch. I'm looking for a watch that can be an everyday wear watch but also an evening watch. My price range is $4,000 (+ or - $1000). I'd like a watch that I could pass down to my son one day. I've done a lot of research and looking and think I've narrowed it down to 2 watches. They both are very similar looking (hopefully the links work). My problem is I don't know how they differ "under the hood" and how important the differences are. The 2 watches I am considering are the Ball Ceramic XV and the Breitling Superocean GMT. Hopefully the links work and you can see the exterior similarities and can explain the importance of any internal differences. Tudor Ranger metal strap fit a Black Bay?
Hi, I have recently purchased a Tudor Heritage Black Bay burgundy and wasn¡¯t a fan of the metal strap it came with, mainly because of the ¡®rivet¡¯ bracelet.I really likely the metal strap on the Tudor Ranger and was wondering if this would fit on my BB?
