Breitling a71340LA/a687-1zd wrist watches news:
It's a cool watch with a startup and judgment of careful chronograph button operated since the large lever. No date, with a movement based on the Valjoux 7750. Many have criticized Graham for their excessive price given movements ETA changed, but they are a piece of interesting times. Enjoy the review!
We had our 19 month old grand daughter over last nite. I was sitting by the computer and she walked over to look at my shiny new Speedy Pro. She was fascinated and put her finger out to touch it, so I thought..."why not?" She placed her little index finger in the center of the dial, and smiled and pulled the tiny sharp fingernail downwardputting the FIRST scratch on the dial! I couldn't believe it! Looked and it, and sure enough....a large SCRATCH.Tried to polish it off with cloth but no luck. Now I'm undecided whether to keep the scratch in honor of her, or go out and get some Polywatch. I did not realize that the hesalite crystal could be scratched THAT easy!
I need a little advice here, chaps. I am negotiating for a Hammie Field Automatic, since my 42mm watch that I ordered in December is now on back-order until April. My watch that I am bidding. . . er. . . negotiating for has a sstl bracelet and none of my Hamilton watches have come with a factory issue bracelet. Sooooo, are there any issues in sizing a Hammie bracelet that I should know about in advance of me entering the critical phase of negotiations?Any tiny collars to contend with. . . difficult friction pins? Please advise.
I just got my first Seckron. Rene Rondeau's book indicates that there were two case types. There are also at least two dial types: black enamel with white markings and numerals and White enamel with black numerals. (I have the Black enamel dial) Can anyone post pictures of the two case types? Also, if there are other dial variations, it would be great to see pictures of those also.
All righty then!!!! Since it's the BBQ season (well, I actually grill all year 'round so it's always the season) I figured I'd post a few pics of some recent BBQ & Bezel action.I may sound like an infomercial but I have to give my Orion Cooker a plug here. I got it last summer and it smokes food to perfection and it's basically idiot proof. Just set it and forget it and in an hour and fifteen minutes you have amazing fall off the bone smoked ribs, chicken, salmon, brisket you name it.I use the bezel on my watch for a lot of things but it's most fun using it for BBQ :-)
