Breitling a49350L2/g699-2ct wrist watches news:
One of my earliest "controversial" articles that made the watch industry raise its brow was on the first release of the Vacheron Constantin Quai de l'Ile watch collection from back in 2008. I more or less panned the concept and execution of the watch. But did so in a way that allowed even Vacheron Constantin to appreciate and respect my feedback. Last year I was told in confidence by them that the Qaui de l'Ile (QDI) was going to be redesigned, and I felt a moment of pride that my opinions are valuable to at least a few people. The original QDI suffered (in my opinion) on a few fronts. First was the eye straining design that make it hard to read. Second was the "passport" protections of the dial, and third was the fallacy of "customization." You can read all about my thoughts in the previous article. Now, slated for release in 2011, Vacheron Constantin will release a new version of the QDI. I still can't pronounce the name of the watch to save my life, but I like it a lot better. Retain
Remember this poor thing? It was the first project watch I bought, and more "before" pics are in this thread:Project Watch Club: JLC reference 2285Well, I got a phone call today from Laura at the Texas facility that the watch is finished and looks like this:I'd say they did a freakin' awesome job! The only thing I see that doesn't look exactly like the original dial is the "T" on either side of the SWISS MADE. I guess I'll have to check if there is any lume on it, but that doesn't bother me anyhow. If it looks that good in a crappy photo, I can't imagine what it will look like in person! I'm a happy WIS again. Only one thing - it's 2 months early so I had to hold up bidding on a couple vintage watches on eBay to divert the funds. Oh well, there's always more Longines and Omegas around. Rob, Steve, and everyone else who shared there thoughts on the dial work: thanks, and I'm ridiculously tickled that I had them redo the dial as original with the crosshairs intact. As nice as th
I was in the maret for a Speedmaster, saphire sandwich. I eventually bought a pre-owned one in great condition. I love it.But while I was thinking about buying one, I went to a few local shops to see if it spoke to me.Nobody had the watch in for me to look at. They had some reduced Speedmasters and other Omegas but no 3573.50.00I was reading somewhere that the demand for the speedmaster is not high because it is manual wind and has no date. The lack of demand is why many shops do not carry it in stock. The sales person told me that because it is in high demand that they did not have one in stock. So which is it? Is the speedmaster pro a quick mover or a slow seller for stores?
I just happened upon this, and while the title sounds like a troll post, it is anything but.https://.youtube/watch?v=ZT9r...s_digest-vrecsI found it interesting, and thought a few of you might also.
Is this a 5074J or 5074R? Is it a piece unique or is it something that was done for a special event I missed...it's amazing. The breguet numerals really make this piece something special. Any facts would be very helpful. Perhaps Khalid will know.
