Breitling a1336410/c805-1or wrist watches news:
Hi all, just got my first watch yesterday, an Omega Seamaster. Here is a few shots and descriptions from the PO please let me know what you think."Omega Seamaster Automatic, calibre 501, 20 jewels movement serial no:16298302. circa:1959 mens watch used.It has the GOLD CAPPED steel case and is well signed, it has had a full service and showing very good time the dial has light age marks it is original ,new plexi fitted and the black leather band is used the Omega sign on the crown is worn and there is a couple of dent marks near the winder which is not detrimental to the watch but which I would like to mention.case dia: 34mmlug to lug: 42mm"CheersThach
On the Submariner on the oyster itself, when (what year) did Rolex start making the end pieces solid? I am actually referring to the lug / pin that holds the bracelet onto the watch.
Wanted to know which pieces sell, and is it possible to find new Breitlings discounted at all? 10%-20%?Thanks
From dr. bruno's blog, 1/5/08: Researchers Terms Wristwatch Ban for Doctors as ¡°potentially Dangerous¡±Hospitals are about to implement a ¡°bare below the elbows¡± dress code policy for doctors, which includes a ban on wristwatches. But researchers in this week¡¯s BMJ warn that this could be potentially dangerous in a clinical setting. There is no evidence that wristwatches are carriers of infection, and little account has been made of the clinical benefits of the wristwatch, write James Henderson and Sarah McCracken. Most beds and examination couches in hospitals do not currently allow sight of a clock, so they set out to assess the dependence placed on wristwatches.Twenty appropriately trained staff were asked to evaluate different pulse and respiratory rates on a simulated patient without the use of a second hand. Participants were given as much time as they wanted to make their estimate.
First I want to take the time to thank everyone here for the warm wishes and all the pics they posted of their Divers. Everyone has been great in answering questions and welcoming me to the AP section of the forum. So thank you to all.I ended up purchasing my Diver from Mosco (Greg). He has been a great friend of mine over the last several years and it was nice to be able to give him some of my limited business. I dont purchase a large amount of watches so when i do if i can buy one from a buddy that makes it better for me. Obviously there are several great TRF dealers here that could have taken care of me and some even offered (Davidson for one). But I just had to get it from Greg. I hate to drive it in the ground but he was outstanding to deal with. (for those of you who have not dealt with him) If you NEED a diver, contact Mosco cause i think he has a few incoming if not just laying around. Thanks again and here is ONE crappy iphone pic. but ill post more in the future.
