Breitling A1436002-B9-444 wrist watches news:
I was probably standing at a train station in Switzerland for a half dozen times before I first realized a peculiar thing about the clocks. The design of the clocks has been memorialized in Mondaine watches, and later in Apple devices, as they've "borrowed" the design in some versions of iOS. On a white background, the incredibly legible clocks have black hand hour and minute indicators along with a red seconds hand tipped with a large circle. The strange part is that when the seconds hand reaches "O," it just stops for a full two seconds, and then jumps ahead to keep telling the time. This doesn't mean the clocks run slow. The seconds hand quickly moves to catch up with correct time. So the logical question is why? According to Mondaine, the Swiss SBB Railwaya clocks have been doing this for about 70 years. The story starts with a Swiss desire for accuracy - naturally. In the 1940s Switzerland wanted the clocks in each of their train stations to be synchronized. If you are a train hist
Hi All,Finally took the plunge and grabbed myself a Skyland Avenger. I had been planning on getting one for a while when a colleague of mine informed me Breitling where upping there price any day now.I raced to my AD and they were just changing the price on the displays and had already changed the prices on the tills The manager then came over and said since I have been in there so much looking at the watch he would sell it at the old price to me This is my first what I call real time peace so have a few questions1) Apart from generally looking after my watch is there any other things I should be doing to ensure it runs happily for many years, services etc ?2) I have the steel bracelet version which in my opinion looks the best, but often take trips to the Caribbean to see family and spend a lot of time diving. So was thinking of getting the rubber strap and changing it my self from time to time, is this an easy and recommended thing to do ?Thanks for Looking M

Guys, I haven't been wearing my ROO 'The Very first One' lately. After looking at Wayne's pictures of his recent acquisition that looks just like mine, I decided to pull mine out of the bank today and continue to enjoy wearing it. After I got my Diver, I started wearing this piece less often. Last time I put it on was back in November at the F1 GP of Austin. Today I am reporting the state of my watch:Still some bright lume on it! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360212780.246494.jpgI also noticed that my pushers are starting to age even though they were just replaced during a service back in 2009. Today, under a 10x loupe I could start to see that the Therban on the pushers is slightly cracking. Just like an old car dashboard in a 1970s Maverick. I love it! Another living proof that I've enjoyed the hell out of this watch. I think I wore this ROO as a daily beater for most 2010 and part of 2011.
