Launched in 2007, Seiko’s Velatura collection is designed to withstand the rigors of open ocean racing. For 2009, Seiko improves the the Velatura Yachting Timer, making it lighter, tougher, and more resistant to the elements. The case is made from titanium, covered with a new hard coating. The watch has a new screw-in crown system that ensures water resistance to 20 bar or 200 meters. A new strap combines leather and ballistic nylon to offer a blend of good looks and strength. The dial is also new, with the pre-set start times highlighted in bright yellow and blue for easier legibility. There’s also a new model for women – the Velatura women’s chronograph. It is available in stainless steel with regular or mother-of-pearl dials, both of which are set with 16 diamonds. :):)a day or two since the last 2254 sighting...here's something a friend asked me,"describe that watch to me".. he wanted me to tell him what it looked like..describe every detail. my old friend is without sight and he wanted to "feel" what I felt when I look at my favorite dive watch. I tried but think I came up woefully short..can you describe in detail your favorite Omega and capture your love for it in the description, just like the recipient had never "seen" one?give it a try folks, pleasediver88:):)

How Far Can You go with Re-storing a Gold -Filled Case?
.....Sorry no phots,......but say the case is worn on high spots of the bezel.....and the back has a couple of dings, and one edge looks to be worn through or damaged so that it is open a little bit on one of the long sides...........Can this case be saved??????and if so ....do you have a jeweler do it ,,...and if anyone has an idea of what it might cost ....that would be swell.....

I have a bunch of fairly good watches. I have IWC, Rolex,Omega, Wakmann a Seiko a Cartier and of course my precious stunning A-11 hack watch issued to me many years ago.by the Army Air Corps. But I recently bought a G-Shock MT-G wave captor solar. ANd I have worn only this watch in preference to all others. It has big clear digital read out that can never be misread. The battery never wears out runs down or needs replacement. It is accurized three times a day and is always accurate. And it is indestuctable.It gives me the time, the month the date, a stop watch. It is the watch of my dreams. I can even dive with it. It will last a lifetime I love it.Art

Patek accessories
Hi all, I would really like to have a Patek travel pouch/case for my 5712, since I got it double sealed but from a grey dealer I didn't get any goodies from Patek, I don't care about most of them but would really like that watch box for one or 2 watches, is it possible to buy it from them or am I completely nuts even thinking such a thing could be possible?I wouldn't want to go to Patek and ask this and them looking at me as if I was some kind of idiot so if someone could enlighten me about this it would be great.Thanks in advance
