My Dad gave this one up...I hope it's real?It was gifted to him.Won this bracelet on Ebay today, it claims to be period correct but is it?Any help is appreciated. I have not paid for the bracelet so if it's not correct please let me know. Just assumed the bracelet will make the watch more desirable. The current band is very comfortable and fits. Thanks, Bill
No theme this week. Just pictures of your Hamilton(s).
Remember that phrase? It usually means to stop being shallow and look beyond the surface to see inner beauty.but is that true for WISses? Are some of us biased by what's inside a watch more than it's outward appearance? Here's a couple examples to illustrate my point:This is a boring watch - no complications, not even a date window nor second hand.Yet because it has one of the finest ultra-thin automatics ever made I had to have it. Adding fuel to the fire was the article from WatchTime in 2005 which included this watch as 1 of 4 AP's featured. That made it a compulsion that superseded every other watch I was considering at the time. Here's another piece of evidence offered to make my case:This watch was destined for the sales fora because I was sure it was just another ETA movement and I've owned dozens. Been there, done that. BUT as soon as I found out it had the same Piguet automatic as some very well known watches it gained so much status that it's become flavor of the week,
Everything is so simple, up until it's complicated. The Nautilus does both, simple and complicated, with aplomb, in my opinion. Grainy iphone photo in poor light, but....Smitten and slightly obsessed...the 5726 arrived yesterday to nestle in the middle...
