Breitling A24322-105 wrist watches news:
I posted this thread on another forum some days back and was surprised at the lack of response. I was hoping to get some additional feedback here on WTF.-I've loved the look and the uniqueness of the Zeitwerk from the first time I saw it and I feel destined to have one in my collection. I'm curious how many others on the forum own one at this time and in what metal? I'm most interested in the luminous platinum reference model and am curious if others have gotten one, or going to get one, or have tried and can't find one? I've read most of the previous threads related to this model and it seems that all that have seen and touched one in the flesh really love it. I look forward to hearing from fellow enthusiasts. Is there not much interest in the Zeitwerk or is that its population is so limited that many simply don't have an opinion?I have an opportunity to purchase a platinum version and while I know I'd love it, I'm concerned about long term collectability and value retention. i've noticed my trusty seiko samurai has been running a bit fast of late. i'm trying to use down time to keep it spot on. anyone got any other tricks?
I purchased this watch about two years ago, and it's been a workhorse for me:I found it at, of all places, Costco, for $119.00 (which made the wife a lot happier than when I bought the Oris):Since getting the Oris, this thing has been sitting in my watch case, neglected. I think I'll give it some wrist time tomorrow:I really like this watch. It's as solid and reliable as I could hope to have, especially considering the price range. I've seen other Wenger pieces which have piqued my interest, as well. This is one of the watches that I plan on putting a deployant (or is it "deployment"?) clasp on.So, any other closet Wenger fans?
Does anyone share fictional detective Archie Goodwin's prejudice against watches that are not round? He expresses his dislike for a man, including his hexagonal watch, in Chapter 3 of the second half of "Black Orchids," as shown in this photo:
