Breitling A2432212/G571 wrist watches news:
One of my favorite independent watch makers, Mr. Kari Voutilainen, is coming out with at least one new watch this year, and it is the beautiful new Voutilainen GMR as a limited edition of just 12 pieces. The Voutilainen GMR (I believe it is named as such because it combines a GMT function with a power reserve indicator) is a gorgeous addition to the Voutilainen family, combining welcome and familiar aesthetics with a new dark dial which just hints at sportiness. The Voutilainen GMR more-or-less takes the Voutilainen GMT-6 (hands-on here) and adds a power reserve indicator while changing up the GMT indicator a bit. What makes the Voutilainen GMR so useful is that it both allows the wearer to know when to wind the watch, as well as offering a second time zone via the GMT hand. The hands of each are hand-made and here colored red (which is part of that slightly sporty look in the watch that I referenced above). The Voutilainen GMR watch dial is produced from solid silver which has been hand
Hi everybody,I'm getting ready to buy my first "real" watch. After doing a lot of research I have narrowed it down to a couple of options.I would really like to hear your opinions, experiences and advices. Here are a couple of criteria that my first "real" watch should fullfill.-automatic or handwound-waterresistant/-proof-sturdy/toolwatch-metal bracelet-no blingbling/gold/silver whatever-at least 38/39 mm in diameter-budget is around 3000,- Euro/ $3600,-At this moment I'm really torn between;-Breitling Avenger seawolf-Omega speedmaster-Omega seamaster pro.-Zenith El Primero HW cal. 420-Sinn 756 DiapalLet me know what you think.thanks a lot!!!
Here's what i'm talking aboutIt runs fine although loses about a minute a week. Now here's the thing.. I really like the watch BUT would it need a major service/repair to line up the hand and maybe bring the accuracy up a bit? It's a keeper for me no matter what but I'd like to do a couple of mods on it to really make it unique if the repair costs aren't going to put me in the poorhouse as it's got the DD 2020 module in it!Otherwise I'll just keep it as one of my work rotation.thanks Steve
A few days ago one of the members asked if you would buy a Rolex from Walmart. The attached photo was snapped by my wife at the Westbury Long Island Costco Store! Not Walmart but close! A yg Daytona with a black dial.I was shocked but she said Why wouldn't anyone buy one from Costco? After all you can wear it for a year and return it for a full cash refund She has a point! Marc
On the site here, most of the talk has been about the blue dial, the black and an off white dial. At an AD this week who said there's a silver/ sticks dial available, very much like that on the DJ36; not in stock but I saw it in the dial catalog. Has anyone seen this in the 41?
