The Piaget rose with its hundred bright pink and softly scented "peony" petals is an endless source of inspiration for the brand. Once again, it is unfurling its fuchsia flower on the dial of an Altiplano. To create the bloom, the artist Rose Saneuil selected different materials (white mother-of-pearl, grained plane and pale pink maple, candy and scarlet sycamore), cut them up then assembled them, piece by piece, from the chapter ring to the heart of the dial. It took 25 hours and 96 wooden and mother-of-pearl pieces to make the dial. That means it took around 450 hours for this Boulle School graduate to make the 18 Altiplano Marqueterie de nacre et bois watches. The petals lie beneath two silver baton-shape hour and minute hands brought to life by the ultra-slim manual wind 430P calibre inside the 38mm diamond and white gold case. Price: 70,500 CHF. Omega Chronometer hang tag
I want to complete a set for my 2231.80 Seamaster 300m chrono that I bought new from AD back in 2000 but didn't the come with the red chrono hang tag nor serial # tag.To my surprise it seems these hang tags are quite rare ! I found two for sale on chrono24 commanding prices around $90.Any idea why these Omega tags are so rare and expensive ? E.g Rolex tags are 7x cheaper and readily available.I even found a site that sells Omega tag replicas

Good place to buy a strap for Vintage Omega?
Hey Guys, I have a 1950's Omega Seamaster Bumper Automatic that is getting serviced as we speak. It was still running but slow by more than 20 seconds a day (and also periodically just died even while wearing). I imagine it may have not been serviced for more than 30 years. Since the watch will (hopefully) be running like new when i get it back I was thinking of getting a nice new strap. It is currently on a brown Alligator strap and I would like to go less dressy. Perhaps brown calfskin? suggestions? where could i buy a good quality strap from? Below is a picture before the service (a new crystal is part of the service)omega.jpgThanks! -Tom

Is there a "normal" release of PAM690 without the blue dial?
Wondering if there is a non-special edition release of PAM690 without the blue dial? With or without the crown guard.I like the layout of the dial and want to see if there are alternatives. :)

Upgrade 16610 bracelet to solid end link
I¡¯m looking at a 16610 form 1998 which has the hollow end links. If I send it to RSC will they let me make the swap to the solid end link bracelet?
