Initial Impressions: Citizen Nighthawk
Citizen is a brand that needs little introduction. They have been around for almost a century, they are one of the largest watch brands currently in business, they are available at almost every major department store and certainly most mainstream watch stores and they are considered to be very well made. Yet, despite their reach and popularity, we haven't reviewed or featured a single citizen watch on worn&wound yet. Well¡­that's sort of a lie, because every time we discuss a watch that is powered by a Miyota movement, whether it is a Maratac pilot or a L¨¹m-Tec Combat B16, we are in fact indirectly talking about Citizen as they own Miyota, but we have not directly discussed a Citizen branded watch.? This is for a simple albeit subjective reason, most of them just don't interest us. Style isn't exactly Citizen's strong suit (I hope I don't make too many enemies by saying that) and for the price there are generally sexier options out there. hEllO everyone,i recently bought Seiko PRemier SPB001J1.A few clarfications on the model is sought for:1. In which year was this model launched by SEIKO?2. in my watch the number mentioned in the back of the case is 691589. What does it mean? Does it have any reference to the serial number of the model manufactured?This is because in the review of the above model being made - (Review of the Seiko Premier Automatic SPB001J1, By: John B. Holbrook, II on 9/21/09), the number of that watch was 800384. The review was made in 2009 and my watch was purchased on April 2010. Does it mean my watch was an old model?humbly requested to clarify the above.ThanksKareth

Yet Another 2-time 2254 SMP Owner
After 10 years, the 2254 is back on my wrist. When I last had one, I was a brand new owner of a 16610, which was purchased for full price with taxes (12% discounted) from my AD. At the time, I probably didn't want to admit that the SMP made my shiny Sub look a bit overpriced. My wrists were half an inch smaller back then, and I was uncomfortable with either watch, so I quickly sold both. Ever since then, I've had the 2254 on my short list of watches to buy. OMEGA's decision to discontinue it was the last provocation that I needed, but finding one at a good price was not easy because most of them that pop up on sales forums are snatched up immediately. Last weekend, I chanced upon this gently enjoyed example from a gentleman in in New York and pounced on it within 5 minutes of his posting. The Speedy style bracelet and sword hands are my favorite features. This is a keeper for sure. The lume shot has been enhanced with Photoshop's auto contrast filter.

AD Inventories
Since I went on my search over the last couple of weeks almost every AD I spoke with had received watch shipments recently. I wonder where we will be in 5-6 months? Back where we were in December or will the watch cases be full. When I bought my SkyDweller yesterday the sales person told me they have a 2 year wait list on the Ceramic Daytona¡¯s.What do y¡¯all think?
