Likely no coincidence that Tissot created a timepiece like this and both Tissot and Breguet are under the same umbrella company - the Swatch Group. While Tissot is best known in the US for their awesome T-Touch timepieces, and other sport watches, they do actually offer some nice classy pieces as well (though a good deal of those are harder to find in the US). Tissot sits as a high-value, entry-level luxury watch portal for the Swatch Group. They are actually in sort of the same boat with Certina watches (also Swatch Group, but those are very hard to find in the US).So new from Tissot is this Sculpture Line Moonphase watch - which I nicknamed the "Tissot Baby Breguet." Why? Well, because the design is just that. Tissot borrowed elements from Breguet such as the machine "guilloche" engraved textured dial, dial layout, and gold case. Yes, in fact this Tissot watch will come in an 18k white or rose gold case. Making this a top-level Tissot timepiece. Tissot timepieces don't often come in

Greetings EveryoneWell I stated in a previous thread that I was looking for a good cheap automatic for under $100. I kept reading through reviews on suggestions from the members here that replied as well as weighed carefully the options available to me.I ended up getting an Orient Mako in blue finish. I ordered it from a popular site (mystery gift bag ring a bell?) and actually received a %50 off deal! That is placed the Mako in my budget, it came out to only $95!!!Now comes the hardest part, the waiting for the mail, lol. Again thank you all for the wonderful suggestions and I never would have bought an Orient had it not been for the great reviews I read on it. I will post a picture once I receive the box.Cheers!

where to service my manual longines
hello,my manual longines watch that i got from ebay is running about 1 minute fast every day. the seller told me he didn't know when it had last been serviced, so i should probably see about getting one.can anyone advise me of a decent (cost effective if possible) means of getting this watch serviced. on the high street i have been told anywhere between 100 and 215 pounds....for a manual watch!i have got a price of 40 pounds from chealwatch, which is obviously tempting, however i dont want to do anything stupid by sending it somewhere dodgy...any advise / warning would be greatly appreciated

It's been a rough three weeks since my heart surgery but today I felt good enough to return some phone calls that had come in while I've been out.One of those was Jim at Continental. When we had talked pre-hospital, his wife of 52+ years had just died. He and June were more than husband and wife, they were business partners. Anyone who had ever called Continental most likely had the call answered by June. Needless to say, Jim could not visualize continuing without her. He had decided to hang it up. When we talked today, Jim had done a 180. What changed? It was all the calls, emails, and cards from friends and customers expressing condolences and urging him not to close down. So it's back to business as usual. He's eliminating the office overhead and 800 number (which may in turn be reflected in his pricing). The Continental direct phone line will still be good with rollover and voicemail.Everyone needs a reason for getting up each morning and this will be good for Jim. Thanks everyone.
