...yeah, that's what i want to see.
Interesting detail I think I can share with others. When I was looking through Tom's catalogues I thought that there was something strange about the roman Endicott dial. In the one of 1940 the Hamilton brand name is written as a straight line, in the one from 1941 it is more a curve. Funny isn't it? Why am I posting this, well maybe that brings also a bit light into how much one can trust the pictures and all the details shown in the catalogues of that Era.Pictures by Vintagehamiltons (Tom):Besides, Tom's blueprint of that particular dial shows the curved name:I would think that the one with the straight line is just some kind of interpretation of the artist who made the catalogue pic back in 1940/39. But then as someone else mentioned beforeyou can never know with Hamilton. I am also unsure if I not have seen one with the straight lined Hamilton in ebay during the last months. If so it could be original or the refinisher used as reference the catalogue from above.Maybe we can collect

So I'm two weeks into my DSOTM journey. After getting it on the tang buckle strap, I also added the deployant strap because people raved about it, and I also am a fan of the setup.I seem to be plagued with one of THOSE wrists, which is precisely in-between sizes on the strap. With 3 holes remaining, it is so loose it literally spins freely around my wrist. If I move it one more hole, it is so tight it causes me pain and digs into my wrist in such a way it hits some nerve and makes my hand tingle and burn. There is no in-between: I can either have it flop around me or cause me to be in agony.I've been opting for the flopping-around, but I'm not really happy with that solution. What do others do? It really seems they placed those holes too far apart. Has anyone ever punched one in-between? I know it may seem like sacrilege, but if it's between destroying a $300 strap but being then able to enjoy a $12,000 watch, it seems like its worth it.
My father's Rolex was stolen from a gym locker in Tempe, AZ. Please keep an eye out in case it comes up for sale. For anybody residing in Tempe, be very wary of keeping valuables in your gym locker. The responding officer has said there has been a lot of thefts occurring recently, in fact there were at least a couple other gym members that had items stolen today or yesterday. The box and papers were not stolen. I've attached a photo of the appraisal which shows what the watch looks like.
