Breitling A 7134053/A679 wrist watches news:
Nobody knows how to put on a more interesting watch auction than Aurel Bacs & Co. at Phillips – this much we know. But, after last May's very successful, if perhaps a little staid, thematic Day-Date sale, I think we were all hoping Phillips would come, guns blazing, back into its next thematic sale – and they did, and then some! This May, Phillips will host an evening sale of just chronographs. Stainless-steel chronographs. There isn't a hotter category in the world, and we have a look at some of the early lots – and boy, is this one going to be a killer. The first watch you'll notice at top is one you may know – it's the Rolex reference 4113 – otherwise known as the mack-daddy of the Rolex world. Why? Because it's a freaking 44 mm split-seconds chronograph from Rolex made in only 12 examples! The 4113 is the holy grail reference in the world of Rolex, and Phillips has one. Estimate is 800 to 1.4 million CHF. 1 OF 6 Tropi
Hello guys, I'm new here and I hope you can help me.I've an Hamilton Khaki Field (H65412133) with Chrono and ETA movement. The watch is in very good condition and I paid for it about 450€ (I'm in EU).You know what could be the value of this watch nowadays? I received bid of 100€/150€ and for me is too low.I ask to you this because I'd like to switch to an Automatic Hamilton and so I need money ;)Img_0537.jpg
I picked this one up for the knurled case.First me do an eBay rant. The seller advertised this as had being serviced. Long ago, I learned to ignore that in eBay listings, but this guy seemed emphasize it. So the watch came filthy dirty. If it has been serviced, isn't cleaning the case part of the deal? The crystal wasn't buffed out.And the topper. I think by servicing, he meant that he just doused the movement in oil. There was so much oil, the watch wouldn't run. I basically had to dry it off to get the watch running.Besides that, it is in decent shape and the case, once cleaned, shine up to a show a brilliant gold plating. There is just a bit of brassing on the lugs on the underside. Seems to keep great time. The watch face is a bit small for my taste, but I find the case intriguing enough to overcome that hesitation.
I own 2 modern Accutron autos, Amerigo and Gemini. Does the fact that Accutron/ Bulova being sold to Citizen a few years back sorta diminish or in some way lose appeal in your community? I know Accutron was known as a Space Watch and had a unique status in the Watch World.
quite disappointed to say the least in these latest offerings. Obviously the Pepsi is pretty cool, but I wont be adding. Also, here is yet again a lesson that our ADs don't know CRAP about what the Big Guys are going to do!! For example- The Hulk is going to be discontinued, as well as the Smurf, oh and the BLNR probably too, oh and the price increase is coming as well because my AD knows the head of sales in N America and he said so. WE are ALL on the outside looking in, I get Rolex gets a bit of a chuckle listening to some of these predictions...... My collection is SAFE! for now...
