Breitling A3238011/BA38 wrist watches news:
A friend of mine¡¯s uncle passed away recently and left her, as she put it, ¡°a crap load of watches.¡± She knows I like watches and said I could have my pick. I didn¡¯t want to sound greedy and said if she wasn¡¯t going to find use for them, I would take one. I asked if she knew what kind of watches they were and she said, one is a Rolex. I told her she could sell it and she said she would rather I had it. Here is a wrist shot. I¡¯ve love the look, but I have that ¡°it¡¯s too good to be true¡± feeling. I¡¯ve never owned a Rolex before. How can I tell if this is a genuine Rolex and not a fake? I can¡¯t get to an AD until this weekend. What should I look for myself until then? Thanks for any info. So, I recently posted a thread that I've been bitten by the AP bug....and it's getting worse!I already had a 15400 blue dial and just received my AP 42mm Elephant from Takuya this week....and now I'm looking at the 26405CE - HELP!Can those of you who have them provide me with feedback on how the piece wears versus the SS case (e.g. scratching, chips, etc.) as I want an all-arounder that I can wear all the time on weekends/holidays.I actually thought about the FC, but I prefer the dial on the ceramic and have read the FC doesn't take wear-and-tear as well...or am I mistaken?Looking forward to your input/feedback/wisdom!
I recently posted another thread asking about the Royal Oak vs a Sub C for daily wear. I'm getting closer to going for a RO, but I wanted to see if anyone had feedback about¡wait for it¡.AP resale value.I'm buying to keep it¡ so it's not a #1 priority, but I would like to know that if I HAVE to sell for one reason or another that I won't take a complete bath. Would a mint AP RO 15400, gotten from a trusted dealer at a decent discount from MSRP, be difficult to sell off if I needed to? Of course I'd lose something¡ but what is the market like for preowned AP? Nothing is like SS Rolex, or Patek, but what about a Royal Oak. I've done some search on the bay and on the forums, but it's hard for me to tell how many sell. It's really just a piece of mind thing. Anyone have an idea?
After several months searching for the right watch, I,ve just pulled the trigger for a 564! The weight and the brushed look of the TI just made me crazy! Thanks for everyone in the forum for so many inputs and amazing pics that helped me! As sson as it arrives I will send some pics!My rolex batman now have a serious competitor for my wrist!!
For those in Britain it's nothing new, for those in the US does anyone ever remember a prior time of Rolex Sports model scarcity? If so please tell about it.
