Omega Speedmaster should the large second hand always be running?
Hello, I have finally decided on the Speedmaster, 38mm. Could someone tell me if the large second hand should always be activated or only running when you are using the chronograph to time something. I have heard that you should only run the large second hand when you are time something but I have also heard it doesn't matter and running the large second hand all the time will not harm the watch. i have been thinking of getting the 5980ss for a while now, don't really know how hard it will be to obtain one since it's being discontinued, so i guess my best bet is the second hand market. I 've got my 5712r almost 2 yrs now, don't know if i should trade it for the bigger size nautilus?
