IWC IW500109 wrist watches news:
In the month of May, we pay a visit to Chopard's workshops and also check out their new L.U.C Tourbillon Qualite Fleurier Watch, which uses Fairmined gold. Speaking of new watches, we also check out Patek Philippe's awesome new Reference 5990/1A Nautilus watch; Seiko's fast-beating Hi-Beat 36,000 GMT watch; and the most affordable Legacy Machine from MB&F yet. That's not all, we also examine the history of dive watch; analyze the second-hand watch mark; and attempt to engrave the caseback of Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso.1. The History Of Dive WatchesThe dive watch as we know it is one of the most popular types of watches today. Rolex's Submariner, Blancpain's Fifty Fathoms, Panerai's Radiomir and Seiko's Monster are all examples of popular watches that are also bona fide dive watches. However, the history of the dive watch is an interesting one. One that was born out of necessity¨Cbecause early watches were highly susceptible to humidity and dust¨Cand then later led to greater things. In
The Margot is Christophe Claret's first watch ever intended for women, and we have to admit that it is rather imaginative. The maker of extremely high-end complicated men's watches wanted to create something unique for females, so he made a watch with a poetic complication very similar in theme to what a brand like Van Cleef & Arpels would create. Though I had to say that only an independent watchmaker such as Christophe Claret would have the mind and motivation to take a concept such as this so far. The complication in the Margot watch is a simple game of chance, and the irony is that by mere having the watch in her possession, the owner knows the answer to its question already.UPDATE: watches-dealer Hands-on with the Christophe Claret Margot watch here. For the Margot timepiece Christophe Claret has finally mechanized the romantic question of "he loves me?" asked to a daisy flower. As it goes here in the United States, a woman picks a daisy and plucks one petal at a time while vac
Interview Questions for Matthias Breschan Dear Mr. Breschan, Thank you for your willingness to participate in this first-ever interview with the members of the Hamilton Watch Forum, a forum of WTF (). We look forward to your comments about the company and wish you and the company continued success. Sincerely, Rusty and foghorn Hamilton Watch Forum moderators And now the questions from our members: From ulackfocus in Philadelphia: Now that Hamilton is a member of the Swatch group, what do you see in the immediate future for the brand? Will watch production ever be resumed in the US? Hamilton is in the Swatch Group since 1974. In 2002 the production has been transferred in Switzerland for two reasons: - repositioning of the brand. Two product lines have been defined. On one hand the American Classic which expresses the true American Spirit of Hamilton and on the other hand the Khaki watches which are inspired by the long and strong military tradition of Hamilton with the US army. -intern
What causes a 3126/3840 movement to run faster when worn? From my timing, I found that my ROO gained 94s when worn between 9am till 6.45pm. When left off the wrist, it gained about 14s between 6.45pm to 9am the next morning. Is this the 'rebanking' issue that some have spoken about? Is it a simple case of minor adjustment needed or is a major service required? The watch is about 1.5 years old and still under warranty but the nearest APSC is Singapore. Thanks all!
My first watch in 2013, and the ONE that will calm my itch for a long while...After looking at thousands of photos and handling many different versions of ROO, my heart always goes back to this 25721ST. Perhaps it is its status as the first ROO, or the mesmerizing blue dial, or the petite tapisserie pattern, or the applied AP logo, or the luminous stick markers, or the integrated bracelet... This classical piece extremely versatile and is the perfect ROO to me in every way. I'm really happy and contented to have added this one as my new beater.
