- I was looking for a silver watch and found this . I was pleasantly pleased to find that the band is really beautiful. It looks like wearable art and I've gotten several compliments. I plan to get another one for my friend that has everything. I was a little concerned that the watch was running when I took it out of the box.

the unboxing of a Getat/ parental guidance recommended
many of you may recall an incoming thread when i ordered this watch. i have very little to add to that but i thought an unboxing post with first impressions would be neat. i ordered it 12/27/09 and it arrived at the post office 1/21/10. it shipped from hong kong on the 16th. i think 5 days to go half way around the world is impressive. the condition of the package showed that it had a long journey.the "outer box"nothing fancy by any means but the package was well protected for the trip the "inner box".again nothing to get too excited about. very pedestrian but built like a vault for the content inside. if you are expecting a manual and warranty card forget it. if you can't figure out how to wind a watch and set the time by now this may not be the watch for you. i think getat will warranty the watch (within reason) for 90 days but i have not heard of many issues with these watches that can't be resolved by a local watchsmith for less than the cost of shipping to hong kong. it's what's i
