Breitling a1736402/ba28-1LD wrist watches news:
I am sellng a watch and he PMed me on TZ. However I am no longer welcome at TZ. Can someone send me his email or send mine to him?I just posted a FS AD and it was deleted. I read all the rules and cannot see what was wrong. So I posted it again and was banned with NO explanation. Oh well, I'm in good company. I actually had over 5K post there over the years and get banned and do not even know why; nice place. I would appreciate any help in getting in touch with Jersyboy. He is interested in a watch I am selling. =) maverick
I've wanted an original Boulton for awhile, but only acquired one recently (after 11 years of collecting Hamiltons), a second-series example (ca. 1949) with the cal. 982 . I know these aren't valuable (or even particularly collectible), but I think they're very attractive on the wrist. This one was in very good-to-excellent condition (with only a small bit of wear on the underside of one lug not sure if it shows in the pic; most have wear on more than one), and the price was not bad, so I bit the bullet on it. But it turned out to have an incorrectly refinished dial (the outer minute track did not match the shape of the bezel), and the crystal was scratched. It did run well when I bought it, at least. Here is what it looked like:Well, I found a NOS glass crystal on eBay (these are plentiful), and a WIS-friend (and fervent Hamilton collector) gave me a NOS Boulton dial, so I was in business. I also bought for it a NOS '50s era Gemex calf strap. Here it is now:
Hey guys,Hope I have posted this in the right spotI am looking for a titanium UTC module to fit the above watch. It needs to be 2 tone with the dark grey face in mint condition please. Please PM me here or directly at contetradisgmailThanks and regardsCon
I'm starting to see the new black Seamaster Bond (not the Bond branded) style. What a nice watch. Probably not as nice as the 2254, but getting closer than that nasty blue thing.I have to say I hate the Bond bracelet. The SMP I saw in OC had the Speedy bracelet.
On the Rolex website, there is a picture of the SD43 with a helium bubble seeping out from the escapement valve - nothing wrong with that, it actually looks quite cool. However, I also noticed, the picture seems to show another gas bubble seeping out of the case back!Is this correct?Would gas escape from both the escapement valve AND the case back?If so, what's the point of the escapement valve in the first place if gas can escape through the case back anyway?Any thoughts...???
