Breitling AB043112-BC69SS wrist watches news:
Are there any vintage no-date subs? I love the simple dial of the no-date (lack of cyclops, lack of text), but I want a nice older one with tritium dial, old school indices, etc. Does this exist? If so, can someone point me in the right direction before I go spend too much money on a 1680?
I am new to firum and own 2 PP watches, having just purchased a 5205 from an AD, as was my 5035. I would never consider buying any PP or other high end brand from anyone but an AD. I see many ads advertising PP watches for cheaper prices but they are not AD's. Are they considered "grey market" and why? Do they have acces to buy large lots of these watches or are they just high end counterfits? The 5205 just came out and they, IMO, are slowly releasing the to the market. How do these people operate if the value or initial cost of the watch doesnt depreciate right away? I could see if the market was flooded by PP, and AD were unscrupu;lous and sold large lots cheap, but that doesnt seem to be the case. In short Im just wondering why so many non-AD's are trying to sell a watch they dont and cant get. Is this a scam? My watch is legit and confirmed as such from HSWA, so I feel honored to own it. I would never consider a "replica" no matter the quality!!!!
Interesting question that I have considered...We are all watch enthusiasts and collectors, but what about kicking it up a notch and running it like a part time home business? Why not? I know several friends that have hobby's such as ATV racing that they have formed LLCs (limited liability company, here in USA) to operatate it as a business.I never really thought of doing so for watch collecting, but it makes sense since the inventory does change as we buy and sell. Would there be advantages to this?I would be interested in your collective thoughts on this interesting twist to our love and affection for all things horology. Thanks in advance,Regards,
After running the snow blower for 2 hours strait. My Panerai performed flawlessly. Lot of vibration and motion and the Pam's time was exactly the same after all the vibration.Wife took some pics so I made sure the Pam104 was visible.
I have not been able to find any topics on that and I know this might be a stupid question buy could some one smarter than me tell me if the following action damages my movement? When I pull the crown out on my 114060 to set the time I usually try to hack it at 12:00. But from time to time when I pull the crown out, it hacks at 11:58 for instance. What I do is I give it a l gentle push back in just a bit till tension to get the second hand moving again (not all the way till click) just to adjust those 2 seconds and let it go at 12:00. Does that do any harm to a movement or is it ¡±allowed¡± to do it like that?
