Ok, So browsing the new Patek forum (some fantastic looking models by the way! ), and window-looking at several other "high-end' brands such as JLC, Breguet, AP & the type - it got me thinking. What pulls you to a particular model at that point? For the time being, let's take the economic factor out. Let's be honest, if you're looking to spend $30K plus on a watch, you're probably not too worried about a few grand here or there. So for the moment, let's assume it's all the same price & lo & behold, you just happen to have a check in your pocket for that amount - payable to any watch manufacture.So, the question is, is it purely aesthetics at this point? Does brand history, decorated movements, complications etc. matter? A look that your great-grand children can wear when it's time to pass it down (read "timeless classic" here)? PAM 372 OEM Assolumente Straps
Long time lurker here. Had my PAM372 for a long time already. It came with the distressed strap and calf. First thing I did was buy the PAM422 assolumente strap. It was my favorite for a long, long time. That and the OEM panerai rubber strap when going near water. I ended up getting a new assolumente strap when the old one snapped with only 2 years of near daily usage. That's when the boutique showed me a new one they had. This is my new favorite. It's the strap that comes on the PAM605I love the color of this. Here's the replacement Asso that I don't even wear anymore. SadThis is the old one before it snapped, maybe that's why it snapped lol.I love straps!Please excuse some of the tacky photos. I feel ashamed. Same reason why I don't take photos of my watch in public anymore lol.
