This is probably a stupid question. What is a battery life indicator? The sawtooth I recently picked up claims to have it, But I don't have a clue and can't find anything about it on the web.

Black dial Hamilton's
I collect pre-1950 Hamiltons almost exclusively. Did the Hamilton factory offer black dials or were these done later individually?I have several black dials, so was curious.Thanks

Ceramic Daytona White v Black? Problem solved
I had my name on the waiting list for a ceramic Daytona the day they were announced at Basel in March 2016. Initially I wanted the white dial but slowly grew to love the black dial. I decided I would take whatever they offered me. In October I got the call and purchased a black dial and I absolutely love it.To solve any lingering yearning for the white dial I have today bought a Breitling Airborne and it is a superb watch. Breitling?
I am thinking of getting a Breitling Avenger Seawolf to the collection on a rubber strap as a beater for work. I am currently using a TAG aquaracer, but a devastating blow from a tractor door pretty much dispatched it today. I actually have a bruise in the shape on the diving helmet on the back of my wrist! Anybody have any thoughts on the line? I like the AS as it has the 44mm case and is an automatic...Thanks!!

Excellent 1st Father's Day!!!
My first Father's day and the wife surprises me with an excellent gift... First she gets me cuff links with watch movements on them saying she couldn't get me a watch...... Then I come back in the room and there's a box... In it from Fr. John's AD... My new PO 8500 in 45.5mm!!!! Since I'm new to these auto watches and Omega in general here's my first couple questions....1) Is the minutes hand supposed to be a different color than the hours hand, it looks bluish2) I just started wearing it today after getting it sized at a Boutique (another about that), if it needs to wound how do I know it does and how do I do it!!!Pics will be posted soon!!!
