Breitling A1334102-BA85BKOLT wrist watches news:
First a caution: This is not a way to test if your watch is waterproof. This test will tell you if water got into your watch.A recent post from a member in the Omega forum got me thinking about this. He took a shower while wearing his new watch, but had forgotten to screw the crown down. He was worried that it might have gotten wet. The group advice ranged from ¡°it will probably be OK¡± to ¡°get it checked right away¡±. What if he could check it himself? It could save him a long trip back to his AD or having to mail it to a service agency. The WATERPROOFING section in Horology-101 describes the ¡°low tech¡± way that the Swiss use to determine if a watch got wet. I¡¯ll describe the procedure based on Omega¡¯s technical instructions. Other companies use similar procedures.First the watch is put in a specialized water chamber and subjected to the desired testing pressure. (We don¡¯t need this part of the test. We just need to know if our watch got wet.)After removal from the chamber, it is dried a

Any help appreciated.A list of manufacturers if possible. I look forward to hearing from you.YoursFarhan (London)
So it's time for my next Patek. I have decided on the 5146G but I can't decide on the dial - cream or slate. I have only seen the slate in person and it's a beautiful color, pretty unique. However I know that the cream is more classic Patek (dials in the white/off white family)Which dial may stand the test of time better?Thoughts? Preferences?
When I had a strap replaced at HSWA recently Tracey noted that the deployant clasp was not on a strap for the deployant. But then I guess it still works - buckle or deployant. She gave me a proper strap. What's the difference? Just length in general? Yes, I should have asked Tracey while I was there...
Here's the complete set of green dial LEs that just came out, 735, 736 and 737. The pic is not the best but it's the only one my man at OP Singapore had. All I can remember as fact is that one is a Rad, one's a Rad 1940 and (obviously ) one is a 1950 Luminor. I can't remember which movements are inside or the quantities produced (apart from 200 for the 737) so won't hazard a guess. They are most definitely boutique exclusive though, so you're only going to score one from a boutique, grey or private seller. They're not released to ADs.
