Breitling a1332016/g698-ss wrist watches news:
A small shipping box has appeared in my mailbox. Let's see what's in it...Hamilton_box.jpgWhat's under the lid?Hamilton_box2.jpgPerhaps a closer look is in order?Cedric1.jpgBet that would look nice on my wrist.Cedric_wrist.jpgAh, and so it does. The strap doesn't seem to be original; the stitching doesn't match the drawings, and neither strap nor buckle are signed. The strap is marked "shell cordovan" with some sort of undecipherable logo above it, and I'm not impressed with the quality of the buckle. No worries - a replacement strap and a service, and we're all set.
Hello everyone!I just turned 40 recently. My wife bought me this beauty for my birthday:I was a bit shocked at the size at first.....it's listed as being 37mm (and I got out the ruler to be sure) but man, it wears BIG!Loving the watch, and thrilled to find a bunch of Hamilton nuts here on WTF.Greg
I'm hoping a few of you can help me out on this. I've got the Glycine Lagunare L1000 Chrono and really love the watch. But the rubber strapnot so much. I've come to the conclusion as I evaluate my collection that buckles and I simply don't play well together. They just seem bulky, cumbersome, and a pain to operate when a rubber strap is paired to a buckle featuring a bent tang (I hope "tang" is the right word). That's what I have in the case of my Lagunare as shown in the picture to follow. In all of these years as a watch enthusiast, I've never ordered a true custom strap for any of my time pieces. I've typically been content with what they originally came with. But for the Glycine, I'm wanting to get a true custom leather strap (my choice of leather, thread color, etc.) with a deployant buckle. It seems like all of the strap-makers use their own preferred buckle designs in their creations but no deployants. But did I mention buckles and I don't get along? I would really like
i am in a process of trading my 08 Chronomate evo for a 2014 speedy LNIB plus additional cash 1000 cash for the speedy is that a good deal or would you do it if it was you. here is my Breitling.49398-8fedb48d2521dfeb1a510410dc5ceb96.jpg49400-72b5498f5a70ae50e70c1302d76af91a.jpg
Ok so new PAM owner here (some may have seen my 590 incoming thread). Never owned manually wound watch, I know it has p5000 movement with 8 day power reserve. Having said that, when I am winding the watch, how many revolutions I need to wind it before it is fully wound? In other words, I want to avoid over/under winding if that makes sense. TIA for your comments
