- I love love love that my husband bought me this watch and I was sooo excited to get it. Unfortunately, the face was way too for my wrists. I had to exchange for the Runway watch in gold since the face was 7mm er.

- I bought 6 of these as Christmas gifts. They look just as they did on-line. I think everyone will like them. If they don't, I won't have to buy a watch for my husband for 6 years, HA HA !! They'll like them.

GuysWith regret I have to announce that our amigo GJ has decided to step down from the admin team. GJ and his missus as many of you know have recently rejoiced in the birth of their second child and the pressing needs of a young family mean that he has to devote precious quality time to the children as they grow up.GJ joined us on the admin team in the spring of last year when we were all working to keep WTF together. His knowledgeable input, enthusiasm, love of watches, walks and music has enriched us all. GJ will still be with us, though in a more back seat role so we can still share in the fun of WTF with him.I'm sure you'll all wish to join John, Terry, the rest of the admin team and me in extending our thanks and best wishes to our amigo.Peace and Joy Brother Houston
Canadian dollar is strong - so is the Euro though.Travelling to Germany for a week (then Boston) - love the Capelands but its $7,500+ here in Toronto.Any recommendations for a good place to buy in Boston or Germany?dankeBryan
Just a week into wearing my white diver I've noticed something unusual which has not happened with my Daytona. Although mechanical movements are known to be far from accurate, they should be gaining or losing at the same rate each day, right? With my daytona it's consistently at +5 seconds per day, which is fine cause I know it's due for a service but I'm refusing to send it in as if now. But this is what I have noticed with my diver. Day 1: +3.5 secDay 2: +9 secDay 3: + 16 secHm... are these figures alright? Or is it time for a service. It's still under warranty. Thanks!
Long story short- I was talking to a coworker today who said he would love to own an automatic watch one day, 'you know the kind that doesn't need a battery'. I nodded my head and smiled thinking about the millions of watches he could be referencing- from simple to grand complication..... He looked down at my watch and said, is that one of the ones that doesn't need a battery? I took my PP5167 off, handed it to him with the caseback forward so he immediately saw the movement. He had no clue what a Patek was, the name, the history, how much it was, or anything about it.But he did recognize what a rotor was, and how the watch worked, and yes it was 'the kind that doesn't need a battery'. He took a minute to stare at the detail and mechanics.... and then all he said was; this is exquisite, priceless...then handed it back to me with a smile and thanked me for showing him.Couldn't have been happier sharing that moment with a friend.Best
Yet another empty case. A grand total of two sport models. Loads of empty watch holders. Sad really. I told them I fell bad for the stores out there that can't get watches to sell. He said they have not received any sort of letter from Rolex or been told anything specific about stock. Said he never knows what he's going to receive from week to week but that it has been rare to get more than a couple sport models at a time.Anyway, the two they had were the Yacht Master II Stainless, and the Deep Sea Black. If anyone is looking for either of those in the Baltimore/Washington region shoot me a PM and I'll get you the contact info
