Jaeger LeCoultre Q1748171 wrist watches news:
Nothing makes us happier at worn&wound than to find a watch that is both great looking and a great deal. After all, we are a site about affordable and well-designed wristwatches. So, when we happened upon the Obris Morgan Branco, we knew immediately that we had to get the watch on the site. ?On paper, it's just about the best deal we've ever seen: outstanding features, a handful of extras, and killer looks¡ what's not to like? Well¡there is always the possibility that a cheap watch is cheap, because it is poorly made. As I pointed out in my initial impressions, the packaging alone exceeds expectations. Now, let's dig into the details of the watch itself and see if it truly is a remarkable deal for a great watch.Obris Morgan Branco ReviewCase: Matte PVD TitaniumMovement: Miyota 8215 AutoDial: Black Sandwich with lume layerLume: C3Lens: Sapphire with AR coating, single sideStrap: 2x Black Leather, RubberWater Res.: 200mDimensions: 43mm x 51mmThickness: 12mmLug Width: 22mmCrown: 4 x 8
I saved this watch from the melting pot back in the late 70's!It's a tiny ladies manual wind 22mm case. The wife won't wear it, and even though I have small wrists would look silly on me I've tried to find info on this company over the years, but have never seen another with this brand name! The case is in near nos condition, and not sure on how to remove the rear cover without scratching it up. It looks like it's never been removed, plus the watch still runs. The only history I could find that helped me date it, was the "features" on its dial "Nivaflex" mainspring, and "Incabloc" to the late 40's early 50's.I would like to find any info pertaining to Belax's history, and if anyone else has a watch with this brand, or even heard of it?

This time it's a quartz - well, a Seamaster Megaquartz F32. From 1971 I think (god, I LOVE these 70's Omegas) and I'm very, very (very) pleased with it.
So I picked up the pilot 5524g yesterday after a wait of about 6 months. I wasn¡¯t expecting it until the end of this year, so was a nice surprise to get the call early. I think there have been quite a few deliveries in Q1, and I¡¯m guessing this is due to production now switching to the 5524r for at least the next few months. As we all know the 5524 was a controversial piece when it launched in 2015. I certainly didn¡¯t like it from the first photos released by Patek. Seeing live photos and trying it on totally changed my opinion and I knew this was a watch that would end up in my collection. Having now had the watch for a day I thought I¡¯d share my early thoughts:- I love the case dimensions. Something I really like is a flat case back, with a thicker middle case and the 5524 suits my taste perfectly here. - It¡¯s quite a thick watch, but because of the above it feels perfectly balanced and in proportion. Coupled with the weight of white gold it feels very nice. - It¡¯s got a vibe differe
