I couldn't believe it, but today I was at an old watchmaker's shop, and when waiting for my watch to be cleaned, I was looking around to the shelfs...Almost all were new model watches, and some old Orients, but surprinsingly I found a BRAND NEW 1959 CK 14704 Omega Seamaster I'm not in vintage watches, but this looked so nice, so shiny, and it has all, box, papers, beautiful...I'm thinking in buying it, he asks $650, what do you think? is fair, is cheap or is expensive?

This is simply an alphabetical list of every Hamilton model and the year it first showed up in the catalog. I'm thinking that this can be a useful template to create a database for future reference, for such things as movement listings, lug width, maybe even a photo of each model. It doesn't matter what. Well looks like I've got the watch buying disease....I just picked up this 2531.80 today which makes this now my second Omega in few weeks time. I better slow down. Here's my conundrum: The original owner stated that this watch was purchased new in 2000 and was stored away all this time. If a watch hasn't been running for say 10 years...should I: Take it in and have it and check out and Lubricated, etc?Or just wear it?

Hi,Just wanting your opinions on the dial of my T-series 14060. I purchased this 2 years ago from a second hand dealer in Singapore. The hands no longer glow but the dial still does. Im wondering if this is a service dial or one of the so-called Tritinova dials. Your conments are highly appreciated. :)Cheers!
