Citizen launched the original Eco-Drive Satellite Wave, the first watch to feature light-powered satellite timekeeping, in 2011, and has released updated versions with new innovations in the years since. This year, the Japanese brand introduces its latest, the Citizen Satellite Wave World Timer GPS, an ideal timepiece for frequent travelers. Here’s how it works. The Citizen Satellite Wave World Time GPS represents, according to the brand, “a new level” of timekeeping technology, the latest in a parade of world-firsts that includes 2013’s Satellite Wave Air (the first light-powered satellite-timekeeping watch in a full metal case), 2014’s Satellite Wave F100 (the thinnest such watch ever, with the fastest GPS reception time), and the Satellite Wave F900, launched simultaneously with the World Time GPS model at Baselworld 2015, which includes a chronograph function. The World Time GPS, which combines the record-setting reception time with the ability to recei
Here it is, the first Richard Mille watch in quartz. No, not a quartz crystal-based movement, but rather, a quartz case material. This is the Richard Mille RM27-02 (RM 27-02) Tourbillon Rafael Nadal in a case that combines carbon and quartz material as once again produced for the high-end watch maker Richard Mille by North Thin Ply Technology. Why produce an extremely high-luxury watch in a complicated quartz filament laminate material? If you have to ask, clearly you haven't been paying attention to the types of materials Richard Mille has been featuring in their watches over the last few years. So let's discuss why a lot of luxury watches look like toys, what QTPT is, and Richard Mille's ongoing relationship with tennis and Mr. Nadal. You may have also noticed that the new Richard Mille RM27-02 watch is part of the Rafael Nadal watch collection ¨C part of a relationship with the star Spanish tennis player that began back in 2010. When the first Richard Mille RM 027 watch came out for R
Hi! I have an Omega Seamaster I bought probably 10 years or so ago. Cool looking watch, has served me well. I would like to upgrade and buy a new watch soon and was just wondering if any information existed on the one I currently have (maybe trade in value or something)? I can't find anything. The serial number on the lug seems to read 55241020, nothing comes up when I search for that.Anyone have any info on this Seamaster model? Thanks!
Before you quickly respond automatic hear me out. I am debating between a SMP 2264.50 and a 2254.50. I love automatics and have a great appreciation for their craftsmanship. However we just welcomed twins into our family and already have a 4 and 2 year old. I no longer wear my automatics daily and because my mind is mush these days I neglect to put them on my watch winder or keep them manually wound so they often time out. I've grown impatient having to constantly wind and set them so I have resorted to wearing a cheap digital watch. Hence I am leaning towards the quartz route right now merely for the convenience. And hey as the kids get older it will give me a good excuse to buy another auto! Put yourself in my shoes and give me your honest opinion. Thanks in advance for your comments.
