I like to try and pop in here at least once a day, to learn from the interesting threads, laugh at the entertaining ones and most importantly of all to admire the photos. I'm terrible at posting on forums, much more of a listener than a talker online (not at all true of me in real life though!!), but 13 days into 2009 I have decided to add a new years resolution to the list! wish list: Seamaster museum piece
Would anybody else like to see Omega reissue a Seamaster from the late 50s or 60s (perhaps in their museum collection)? It seems to me like a reissue of the vintage Seamaster or Seamaster DeVille from the late 50s/early 1960s, or even a Seamaster 300 reissue from the 1960s, would be good sellers. It certainly worked for Longines with the Silver Arrow.These are some great looking vintage watches, but I am a little nervous of buying one due to the apparent ease with which they are counterfeited.

What Panerai would complement a Rolex
I was hoping to get advice from those that already own a Rolex and Panerai on what Panerai you would advise on getting to complement an existing collection of Expy, BLNR, SubC, Z-Blue. I think the Panerais are straight up ugly when juxtaposed to a Rolex, but there's something about these grotesquely huge watches that I find appealing (I'm just not really sure what that is yet, more visceral than anything). The problem for a first time Panerai buyer is that there's so damn many to choose from in a sea of sameness from one piece to another. It appears that a generally desirable piece would include a clear case back and some complication(s). I'd prefer a piece that's not huge, and would appropriately fit my ~6.5 wrist. Also, I'm not really sure if I like the crown guard or whatever that things called that protects the crown (on the Luminor maybe?). Any advice will be helpful. I'd like to stay in the LNIB range of $5K-$7K range (more towards the low midpoint). Or should I just totally forg

Unfortunately the prices of the watches become so expensive because the same public is the one that makes them rise in price and that only makes them earn a lot of money not only the gray sellers of course also the one who provides themA little story. Many years ago an Audi sport coupe had gone on sale. I think it was the TT and a used car dealer offered it at 37,000 dollars. A friend of mine who was known to the seller asked him why he offered for that amount if the official price was 31000 and directly he told him that he got it from the official dealer and distributed those 6000 difference.Today I'm seeing gray dealer signs that have many Daytona 116500..where do they get them ????
