Baume & Mercier, which began a partnership with Carroll Shelby, Inc. in 2015, expands its collection of limited-edition chronograph watches inspired by the famed Shelby Cobra race cars this year. The newest models, introduced at SIHH 2016, take their distinctive design codes from the Shelby Cobra CSX2128, the 289-series roadster that won the 12 Hours of Sebring race in 1963 to become one of the most successful Cobras in history. The Baume & Mercier Capeland Shelby Cobra 1963 Limited Edition comes in two versions, each with a 44-mm-diameter case. One is in stainless steel with satin-brushed and polished finishing, attached to a black alligator strap with white contrast stitching and yellow, rubberized calfskin lining (pictured at top); the other “Competition” edition (below) has black ADLC coating on the steel case and comes on a strap made of black, vulcanized? rubber, the same material used in the wheels of a Cobra race car.Other design features inspired by the Shel
Yema USA offers one of these Diving Chronograph watches for you to win during the month of March (ends March 31st). The specific model is this black colored Ref. YMHF0202 that is 43mm wide in steel and water resistant to 300 meters. The rotating diver's bezel has a unique guard over it near the crown while the dial is rather clean and easy to read. Inside the watch is a Japanese quartz movement that features the time, alarm, chronograph, and date. I like the silver on the dial and the blue trim in the crown and pushers. Retail price for this YEMA Diving Chrono watch is $665. You can enter for a chance to win one by following the instructions below. If you had 10K kicking around what would you buy (Rolex wise)...A: DSSDB: SS DaytonaThinking about my third but it's a way's away right now. Both watches yet vastly different both have a wait list and similar price point. How long will the Daytona lose appeal in this economic environment? Is it easier to get a Daytona than a DSSD?
when it comes time to choose an actual watch, nothing that convinces you to buy. Anyone else have this problem?I have that with Hamilton and Ball. I like the name, history, and even the detail on some of the watches. But I can't get a specific watch that sings just the right tune
Does AP offer kits for the 15450? I've seen other posts about kits for the 15400 but I couldn't find anything on the 15450.
