DSSD vs. Sub dial size
OK, sorry, no pictures - yet. I'll try to get some later. But, I've been curious as to whether Rolex made the dial of the Deep-Sea any larger or if they kept it the same. Without a Sea-Dweller 4000 to compare it to, I compared it to the Sub. Keep in mind I'm not taking out the movements to get to the dials. So the measurements are from the top. So they're not 100% precise, but I think they're within .2 or .3mm tolerance.The Deep-Sea's dial measures 27.3mmThe Sub's dial measures 27.1mmSo, I'd say they're pretty much the sameAlso, someone mentioned that it looks like the date window is closer to the stem on the Deep-Sea. It appeared that way to me too. So I measure this too.. Nope. Both the Deep-Sea & Sub's date is 2.5mm from the outside edge of the dial. I'm assuming the stepped rehaut is what's making it look that way...But anyways, thought I'd share those stats....

looking for a winder for my Rolex
My husband bought me a beautiful 1954 Ladies 18K Rolex watch, model 6505 and I love it. It is simple and elegant - no day/dateand runs perfectly. The only issue isI sit and work at a computer all day and so I don't move around enough to keep it wound sufficiently. SoI am looking for a winder to keep it on during the night. Does anyone have any suggestions for specific brands or models for an affordable winder that would be best? I would really appreciate any advice you all may have. Thank you!

Some questions about buying 1st Rolex
I'm in the process of buying my 1st watch. Sometime within the next 5 years I'll be buying a Milgauss (or submariner, but I like the Milgauss a bit better) however until then I want to buy a more wallet-friendly watch. Within the year I want to make my 1st purchase and my budget is from $2-4k. I've tried on some Omegas (Seamaster 300M and 300M CHRONO were my favorite) however I'm wondering if I could go with a Rolex for in about the same price range. I really like the Explorer II (white dial), and from what I've seen it is cheaper than the Milgauss. Do you think I could get one used in my price range?Normally I'd prefer to buy through an AD, but I think buying used may be the better idea here. Is there a trusted place to buy used rolexes?Or, if you think this is a bad idea and I should stick with an Omega, please let me know.

AP 5 Year Warranties at AD?
Has anyone heard that AP may start offering 5 year warranties for watches purchased from authorized dealers? I know that boutiques already offer 5 year warranties.
