carribean?
hey guys, long time lurker to this forum but I finally decided to join! Anyways I'm looking at getting my first watch soon, a seamaster (2220.80.00) and here I live on an island so the dealer is saying 3800 CAD + 13% tax. So pretty expensive. I am travelling to the carribean the winter and wondering if there are any advantages or disadvantages when buying from down there.Thanks,Brandon

Source for cloth or nylon straps?????
Anyone know where I can find some cloth or nylon (Not NATO) straps??? I'm looking for just the plain buckle type in 18MM long. These are nice for Summer. When they get too yucky, just throw them in the washer!!!

I think this photo deserves it's own thread. Shot under a fluorescent table lamp, with just my Galaxy Note2 camera phone, it brings out the best in the silver white dial IMHO.Just spending a moment to enjoy my RO, while waiting for my next incoming grail.

The Ferrari models
I had an opportunity to see a split second Ferrari model. Interesting watch! Hob nail dial, kinda 1940 case and the rattrapante movement. If I could replace the Ferrari emblem, I'd be all over it !!! Anyone else come across the Ferrari line? Thoughts?

557 vs 233 Thoughts?
I purchased my 2nd Panerai last year, the destro 557 (also own a 425) and now I'm still lusting over the 233 (am/pm). I know they are both apples vs oranges but I want to hear your expert thoughts if you have to pick between the two. Thanks TRF for this great community and sharing of knowledge.
