Breitling A1931012/BB68/744P/A20D.1 wrist watches news:
Here's a few GMTs I own. These two 16710s are Z serial and M serial. The Z has the 3185 movement. The M has the newer 3186 movement per the hour hand test. This was my first GMT 16700 L serial from 1988. It was the first year the GMT was upgraded from the acrylic to saphire crystal. I wore this everyday for 19 years until I purchased my other Rolex's. This photo is after its first service.
I've read some posts where people have said they would never buy anything used, but there a some great deals to be found on the garage sale front. A little polishing, maybe a new band and wham, like new! What's the coolest watch you have found at a yard sale or antique store?
Does anyone know the weight of this particular piece? Been searching for quite a while but I have not found anything and would really appreciate if someone knew.https://i.imgur/1SPLXVk.jpg
I own a Galactic II, A13364 Chrono rated waterproof to 300M. I've used it in the pool numerous times with no problems. I scuba dive and was wondering what you guys think about using the watch at 40' to 100'. Some say that using a Chrono as a dive watch isn't a good idea due to the 3 stems.
I'm not up for a patek bashing so please don't think I'm a hater. I love my 5711. But ....I remember feeling the same way as I did when I got my first (pre ceramic) rolex submariner. Effectively slightly disappointed with the clasp. Compared to the new 114060 for example the older 14060 seems to be far less sturdy and perhaps fragile or insubstantial. Yet I do know many like its roots, its no bling form, and - i know its functionality is unquestionable...When I play with my 5711, I'm just left feeling that the clasp is a little awkward to undo... It reminds me of the tool aspect of rolex evolution - which I hadn't expected from a patek - as you never hear them reffered to in that way... I must say - The arrangement on the 40th anniversary AP 15202 just seems more pleasing.Hopefully I'll grow used to it, I have only had it a few weeks...Does anyone feel this way? Or can anyone help me appreciate the patek clasp experience more?Good day all....
