- Was pleasantly surprised on the arrival of my new watch. Nicely crafted with the look and feel of a much more expensive watch. Couldn't beat the price anywhere.

Breitling A1036012/G721-croco-black-tang wrist watches news:
About a year ago, I attended a press conference in San Francisco where Frederique Constant and Alpina announced their newly developed "Swiss Horological Smart Watch Platform". Analogue watches with health tracking capabilities that actually looked like real watches. It was an interesting concept, and a more clever reaction to the incoming "smart watch" genre than slapping a logo on a digital watch. To do this, they had teamed up with MotionX, a Silicon valley company with a lot of experience in the health tracker world. Beyond the functionality, they made sure the watch was made to last longer than typical pieces of tech. It was designed to be efficient, with a 2.5 year battery, and has a modular design where parts of the movement will be able to be upgraded for a small fee. I really liked that they made it, to some extent, have the permanence of a real watch. It's truly a shame that most smart watches will end up in landfills within a few years of their purchase. They also announced tha
Anyone have documentation listing the tap sizes for different movement's stem tap size regarding which crowns will fit? I have deduced a few from an old catalog but, don't know with certainty that a 980 is always the same or, a 987 etc.
I have not worn this in a long time, but it's still running strong. from approx 1986. Although small by today's trends, it's still a good looker.
I acquired a Seamaster 120 automatic about a month or so ago. I found it on the timezone forums for a terrific price and couldn't pass it up for a full box and papers watch. The watch was gently worn for about a year and then put in a drawer for the last ten or so years. I had it about three weeks and knew it needed a service (i knew when i bought it it needed servicing). I took it to my local watchmaker who did a full internal servicing for $125. I go and pick it up today and I was less than thrilled. When he serviced my DJ last year, I found dust under he crystal. He took care of it at the point I brought it back to him. I get handed my new beauty today and it looks good inside. I pay and leave. As soon as i walk outside, I immediately notice TWO specks of dust on the dial and hands. Maybe I am super critical... maybe I was just hoping for a different outcome than last time... I decided not to bring it back to him to fix. I feel that a servicing for $125 is still a good price even if
Hello,My vintage Speedmaster Pro man on the moon came standard with the newer speedmaster bracelet...anyhow.... I then wanted the 1171 bracelet also....Once I fitted it.... I felt 1 thing.....THE 1171 IS CHEAP CRAP!Why do I feel this way? sure a 1680 sub has a cheaper/old style braclet also compared to the new solid end link bracelet.... but this OMEGA 1171 feels like junk.....
