I don't know if guilty is the right word....I changed my bezel color on my SS Sub from it's original black to a green bezel like the anniversary edition. I really liked how that model looked so I bought an aftermarket bezel and popped it in. It looks great but I feel somehow like I'm wearing a fake...but I know it isnt....even though most of the general public has no idea there was even an anniversary edition. So is it just he catholic boy instilled guilt in me or would rolex purists throw me off a cliff?
I can't find an exact match in the ads, but my guess is that its from the Streamline collection, late 30's.The watch measures a small 21mm across, with a dainty 14mm between lugs. Length wise, it runs 41mm lug to lug and it is a bit chunky height wise.
Guys, here is my problem and a letter regarding what I want done. This "repair" was done by a local mall jeweler. Can you give me some advice regarding my problem? Photos following:Dear Jack,I am writing to convey to you my concern and displeasure regarding the recent ”°repair”± that your watchmaker made to my watch. As you recall, I brought my watch in for a pin on a mesh bracelet to be replaced and for the bracelet to be attached to the watch. When I picked up the watch after the repair, the bracelet pin had been replaced and the watch attached to the bracelet. The watch was not attached to the bracelet with a spring bar, as is the normal practice, but with a bracelet pin. I talked to you about this and asked you to talk to the watchmaker about why he did it this way. I did not pursue this problem with you because I thought it would be easier for me to deal with getting a thin spring bar to fit the bracelet, which I might add are easily obtained, than to bring the watch back for a fix
Greetings to the Omega experts...I just came into possession of this Marlboro World Championship racing two register chronograph with unknown manufacturer or any discoverable history. The watch is quite striking and appears to be in unworn overall condition. The more I research this watch the more confused I get. What I think I know thus far is that the watch houses a Lemania 5012 movement which is a derivative of the 5100 without the 24 hour sub dial, has a classic Heuer dial configuration and color and is housed in a case consistent with the very large and bulky Omega stainless steel casesfrom the mid 1970's.What I know for sure is that this two register chronograph is massive in size and weight and commands a very impressive wrist presence (wrist shot attached) and overall high quality look, feel and functionality as it keeps excellent time and the chrono functions work quite well.Lastly, I have researched the relationship between Marlboro Racing (F1) and Swiss watches and Heuer come
