- This is both a very stylish and practical watch. It has a large face and a longer than average wrist band. I would say it is best suited for a man with large wrists. Wenger Swiss Army watches are all of superb quality!

Breitling A1335611/C645-3LT wrist watches news:
I have heard mention of some of Omega's vintage calibre's being of superior quality than others. Would it be possible to rank the movements with a little justification? I am continuously seeking out vintage watches and could really use information on the quality of the calibres. Are the 70's calibre's really inferior to the 60's? If so, in which way? I like the looks of the slim 70's day/date watches but not so sure if the movement will run as well as my 60's movements. Thanks for any information you are able to provide!
HEY everyone!Well it's no secret around here I'm a sucker for a apeture-style calendar complication. Either a complete or annual calendar is a great complication IMO (of course so is a perpetual!). Problem is not too many brands make a complete calendar (Day, Month & date and usually a moon-phase) in an apeture-style. Most use a sub-dial layout. Not sure what an apeture style is? It's where the day & month is laid out in a window-format and not a subdial. Here's a couple examples:Problem is, they all seem to be 'reserved' for higher end watches. So, it got me thinking, "are there any brands that make these?". So let's see them! If you've seen or own any apeture-style calendars, lets see them!
I was just invited to another AP event that is going on at the flagship store in NYC next week. If you are in town next week feel free to RSVP in order to attend the event! I am certain there will be many material worthy pieces on display!
I'm going crazy...well, MORE crazy. I remember reading an article about a famous Australian adventurer/backpacker that wore an Omega Speedmaster while in the bush. The article included a bunch of pictures of the well-worn watch...including a missing pusher. I'm pretty sure it was on Hodinkee...but I can't find it.If I remember correctly, he liked to use the watch to keep tracking of the amount of time he had been walking. Anyone?
Had to order this as my AD didn't stock it, I'm not a fan of the 9 link bracelet that comes on most Seamasters and 007 models so I got this:
