I didn't really have time to do any research or get opinions on this one, but I figured for the price I'd take a risk. Winning bid was $43 shipped. Special thanks to ulackfocus for all the information and time he's given me. I don't want to bother you guys asking for opinions when the price is as low as this one.Second hand isn't missing, just covered by the minute hand (edited: Oops, it's the hour hand...) in the first photo:I've gotten a little carried away in the last few days - time to slow down! I guess I'm just in the initial excitement phase of a new hobby. I think I need to become a little more discriminating now that I've bought a few vintage watches to put into my rotation. Can anybody tell me how to determine what era a Hamilton is from?

Hi all, I've only joined this site today and I have posted in the "General Discussions" forum.However, I do have a specific IWC query that I could do with some quick assistance on.I have the opportunity of purchasing a good used IWC Der Flieger Chronograph (Model 3741) for ¡ê1200 GBP/$1700 USD.It is a private Seller and the watch has a metal band instead of the leather one.The pictures look very pleasing and I've been in communication with the Seller.I would like to know if the price above is ok or too much for a used model?Many thanks in advanceClint

Feels like Christmas morning!!
Hello all here at TRF! I after a long visit to the Spa at the Henri Stern Watch Agency, my 5960P is now back at home and once again on my wrist. Although the service lasted over 8 month, they really did a superb job. Cosmetically it looks fantastic and there is a lot of piece of mind knowing that mechanically it is as good as new again.Anyway, here is a photo of the finished product!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1399052682.839364.jpg
