I have the 2993.51.91 (as appears on its official card) with Arabic Numerals. Searching over the web for similar watch - failed so far, (not even in Omega official site). Could anybody pour some light for this watch?Dror

!942 era Gruen Curvex 10ct. solid gold case My first
She keeps very good time and I cannot get over how thick the crystal is. The face is two-tone and a new lizard band. It says Gruen Curvex and precision over the second hand box. The face is original. Maybe I can post a picture. That makes two vintage watchs a Hamilton and Gruen,both keep great time.

Just Arrived: Elgin Deluxe with 647 Movement
I just got this today. It is an Elgin Deluxe, 32mm across, and 10K gold filled. The 647 manual movement has 17 jewels and was adjusted to 4 positions at the factory. The case, dial, and hands are in great shape. The only issue, is that the caseback isn't original. I did a little Googling on the subject and saw that the original casebacks were hard to remove and were often severely scrapped or bent as a result.Here's a picture of it:Other Elgin Deluxe models received this 4 hole, screw in model like this:Mine is from the I.D. case company (which was based in New York and made cases through the sixties) and it closely mimics the caseback above. It has been on the watch at least from 1964, as who ever serviced it inscribed it on the inside of the case. Maybe if I can find an original caseback, I'll install it, but I just don't see it harming the watch to that great of an extent.By the way, here's photo of the same watch I found at an auction house. 5711 vs ap ro?
Dear TRF members.I apologize for creating a thread that has been discussed previously.Whilst trying to add another piece, I find myself really confused between the legendary Patek 5711 blue dial, and the Audemars piguet jumbo 15202.Both stunning as most will agree, and the price difference is not an issue as I am already spending quiet a large amount on either.I really love the dial of he 5711, coupled with its rarity, but also like the presence of the RO.Another thing the Patek has, which may sound stupid, is the fact that it is a Patek.I don't mean to say AP is not a great brand, we all know how incredible they are, and I definitely don't think they offer less in terms of quality, but I can't help but feel that Patek is a different league, and one that many aspire to achieve.Which would you pick? PAM 50 strap issue
Hi everyone. I had purchased a leather (maybe gator) OEM strap from a member on another forum, paneristi. I had worn it for a month or so and the stitching came off. The stitching that holds the spring. I will send pictures ASAP but wanted to know if this is a common issue and if it can be fixed. I called Panerai last week and they had mentioned they do not cover the strap, which was strange to me. Thoughts on how this can be fixed or if it can't be fixed at all.Thanks in advanceAsh
