The best "getting a SS Daytona story" I ever heard, today! :o)
So I'm at this Porsche event that's in Rockville, Maryland today and this older gent shows up with a beautiful old 88 911 Turbo (930 - Slant Nose turbo). He's wearing the same black dialed Daytona that I have on and his wife is wearing a DJ with diamonds on the bezel, oyster bracelet, something I don't usually see. I decide to say something about it "Nice watch, sir - you have excellent taste". Usually it's a deadpan response and a quick chuckle. That happened today too.After a brisk 80 minute drive through the country to the restaurant we were all eating at (about 15 of the original 50 or so people were left at this point in the day) I end up sitting with him and his wife for the lunch part of our event day. I decided to ask him quietly if there was a story behind obtaining his watch. He looked at his wife and said "You better tell him". She goes on to say that he had wanted it for a while and was put on a list. She was at the AD one day and asked "If I donate $1000 to a cause

Omega Speedmaster possibly next purchase ?
I'm seriously considering making an Omega my next watch purchase and have been looking at a couple Speedmaster's I really like...... I am just wondering if anybody has any experience or opinion on these models..omegawatches/gents/sp...-date/32228000.omegawatches/gents/sp...ional/35725000I don't have an Omega AD near by so I would have to buy online or contact an AD for pricing. if anyone can recommend an online site or AD that would be good to deal with please let me know.
