- This watch works great as long as it's running. Mine died after 9 months. I've never abused the watch and after reading all the disclaimers I'm not bothering with a claim. But I'm not buying another Timex either.

- I received this watch (blue face) as a gift from my wife. It is absolutely beautiful. The blue does look purple in certain lighting. The 24-hour subdial is ideal for travel as it can be set for a second time zone.

I currently have two, a Calatrava 5127R and Aquanaut 5165. I have ordered a 5124J from my AD. I was able to try one on at the Patek Philippe Salon in London last week. They wouldn't allow me to take a photo in the store, but it is in the window.5124J on left in LondonThe London PP SalonI also really like the 5140 and tried this on down the street at Watches of Switzerland.A future aspiration.I visited many watch shops in London and am working on a photo blog of my trip and will post a link soon.I am really happy to see this forum!
To all WTF members and John Holbrook; I, Mark Evenson, the owner of Luxury Watch Exchange would like to thank all WTF members and John Holbrook. The Luxury Watch Exchange was created to provide watch lovers worldwide a central, low cost marketplace to exchange their beloved timepieces. We are a very small organization with a marketing budget of less than one thousand dollars per month and require the support of others to assist in expanding the word of Luxury Watch Exchange. Many people joined our website the first day from the WTF letter yet we are waiting for most of the applications to be returned. We apologize for this application inconvenience, yet we feel that for the long term strength of the Luxury Watch Exchange, this is necessary. Our grassroots campaign needs your support in order to create an alternative to posting on several forums or eBay listings to sell a timepiece. With our 30 day listing option and auto relisting feature, you can list your items for sale and allow them
Howdy folks, just got a nice Speedmaster on a 1499/842 bracelet.....sadly it's a bit too tight, so I'm in need of a spare link for it.Any place to source one?I put a wtb, but figure this thread would get more exposure. Thanks in advance.Sorry for the garbaggy pic....
I own an Omega Seamaster Professional 300M, ref # 2254.50 that I have had for several years and purchased from its original owner to bought it from an Omega AD in 2003. The watch was serviced by the original owner in 2006 thru Omega AD ben Bridge and one in my possession it was serviced by Omega thru Omega AD Traditional jewelers. The watch has always run +1 sec a day while in my possession.I use the watch as a modern beater when I do not want to wear a vintage Rolex but still want a nice timepiece on my wrist.I listed the watch for sale here in TRF classifieds a couple weeks ago. After posting the listing I got the watch out, wound it and wore it for a day, intending to wear it for a couple days to confirm the accuracy or change my ad if accuracy had changed. Accuracy had not changed but there was something clearly loose and rattling inside the watch when it was shaken. Not able to sell the watch in that condition I took it back to Traditional Jewelers, explained my concern and asked t
Hi TRF, first post here! I知 looking to pick up a new (to me) Rolex. I have a 6542 that my dad痴 dad gifted to him when he graduated from the Air Force and I have an AP 15202. Both watches I feel are too fragile for what I want and neither do I wear all day every day. I purchased an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean back in 09 as my first, nice watch and I致e thrown everything at it: surfing, snowboarding, dirt bike rides, backpacking, etc. and the watch still looks great and keeps great time without a service. However, I知 looking to upgrade the Omega to a Rolex.I知 familiar with the tried and tested criteria Rolex watches go through, but I知 curious when they started testing the watches beyond the limits the watches would ever see. I致e narrowed my choices down to a Submariner or a Sea Dweller (40mm). I知 looking for this new watch go go everywhere with me to get knocked around and build its own character. How far back I should narrow my selection to, knowing the watch has gone through the gamut
