I picked this band up on ebay for about 50 dollars shipped. Few things to notice, the band uses screw locks rather than pins but it is barely noticeable. The screw locks aren't the best, a few were sticky, I mean really sticky and difficult to remove.Craftsmanship: Good weight, seems to be decent quality steel, (seller claims same grade as OEM). The molds are not perfect so there are a few nicks in a few places, that only the anal retentive (like me)would likely notice upon very close inspection. The edges of the band seem to dig into the wrist a bit more than the OEM band. The SEL's are decent, but you will notice that the polished portion on the SEL's don't have the same luster a

Well, he told me he had a couple mint pieces that are #1 and #3 on my Top 5 Most Wanted list and they were in excellent condition. He's a master of understatement.I swear I've looked at over 200 of these in the last year or so. I thought I would end up buying a junker and sending it in to Le Sentier for restoration, but this one is in incredible shape :It's a 60's Memovox reference E855 37 mm solid (not capped) 14K case with stainless back and a bumper caliber 825. It's crisp, 100% correct, completely original, and all mine - I left a deposit and he's gracious enough to hold it for a week or two. Talk about getting your money's worth. In an era where gas and food prices are going up daily while the Federal Reserve prints trillions of dollars by night, it is time to assess the addiction.Here is a beater I recently purchased for $14 bucks. It has greater accuracy than an El Primero and gives me lots of useful info with just a push of a button. I've worn it in the rain and it seems to keep the water out. Many complications like day of the week. And, it comes on its own 'homage' to leather bund strap in high-end vinyl. On-lookers wonder if I might have dropped $10,000 on it. How would they know? A good value for the HOG at work.

There was a thread recently proclaiming the demise of Patek because TAG came out with a cheap turbillion. Well- here you go- a 160k retail tour billion piece selling for 24k. Which means those TAGs likely will go down to a few thousand dollars on the secondary market.forums.timezone/index.php...=0#msg_7281057A Patek is a Patek for a reason. While all don't retain their value, taking an almost 140k hit on a piece is bonkers.
