There are a million threads about who doesn't like Speedmasters. This is a question for those that love them... what little flaws or issues do you overlook because you love the watch?
Hi Everyone; Seeking your collective wisdom... I live in Tokyo and travel to the US frequently on business. Just acquired a 5146 and wondered if any of you would share any tips on managing an AC on long trips going East. Do you just advance the time forward to the destination on the hands and then use the pusher for date to get everything all synched up? Does advancing the date mess with the moon phase or other indications? Lastly, I also assume that traveling back to Tokyo from the US i can just advance the hands forward to the time there... correct? Thanks in advance for your suggestions. Hope eveyone has had a fantasitc Christmas.
Hi everyone, I¡¯m after some advice please.I currently have a Panerai 40mm GMT (PAM 244) and a Rolex Sea Dweller (ceramic 116600). I bought the Panerai brand new in January 2008 and it¡¯s a fantastic watch. I wanted it for about five years before I eventually got it (originally I wanted the 159 but it became the 244 after some time). Nearly 10 years later the watch is still with me, in virtually as new condition as I don¡¯t wear my nice watches that often and when I do I¡¯m very careful.I recently started looking at Panerai again and have come across the 1392 (42mm 1950 case etc). I managed to try it on and it feels better on the wrist than my 244 - lighter weight, and thinner, so it doesn¡¯t feel as top heavy. The question is, do I buy the 1392 and add it, or do I sell the 244? I¡¯m concerned I will miss the 244 after having had it so long. I have made a certain attachment to it! If I sell it I don¡¯t know how much I will get but I think I might feel it is worth more to me than the money I re
Currently I have my BLNR on an Everest strap. While giving the watch and band a little soapy bath, I noticed the screw was loose on my tang buckle. It is now tightened and secured with a little loctite. Make sure to check your bands And a picture just for fun.
