Ulysse Nardin 243557/92 wrist watches news:
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the launch of their first automatic chronograph movement, Breitling is introducing two limited editions of its Chrono-Matic model. The first is the Chrono-Matic 1461, a stainless steel edition of 2,000 pieces combining a chronograph with a calendar that requires adjustment once each leap-year. The second, in red gold, is a chronograph with perpetual calendar in red gold, limited to just 125 pieces and called the Chronomatic QP.The numeric component of the Chrono-Matic 1461 name refers to the number of days the calendar can “remember” the date. The day, date and month are displayed via subdials with straight hands that create an instrument panel look. The 1461, shown below, comes on a woven steel Aero Classic bracelet. The Chrono-Matic QP’s movement consists of almost 500 parts. The movement displays the date, day, week, month, season, and moon phase, taking account of leap-years. Both the QP and the 1461 are COSC-certified chronomet
I'm interested in starting a little vintage watch collection I know that you run the risk of buying a watch that needs to be serviced. If the dealer has warranted that the watch has been fully serviced, how much more would you pay for that feature? For example, assume a wristwatch goes for $80-100 on eBay and the seller says that it is running. The same watch is being offered as being fully serviced before being put up for sale. Assuming the representation is true, would you be willing to pay more for that watch and, if so, how much? Thanks!Bob
My initial question was going to be what is the value of a Winslow?I need to thin out some watches and raise some money for new purchases, and one of the watches that may leave my collection is a Winslow and I have no idea how to price it. That lead me to the questionIs scarce valuable? The Winslow was a 1-year-only model, and the production numbers are quite low. Does that inherently make the watch valuable? I wouldn't think so, but I can't be sure. Any thoughts of value versus rarity? Or suggestions on the value for a petite Winslow? Thanks,Chris
hi there ,i was at the airport here in dublin ireland this evening and came accross a legend diver ,i work in the port and about two months ago i lashed out and bought one for myself ,love it ,this evening on one of my breaks i noticed that they have a new legend diver on display ,but this one is different it is the same as all the other legend divers i have seen in person and in pictures but below the automatic type on the dial it has 3bar -300m ,is this a new issue ?the sales assistant said she did not know any ideas ?
Will be enjoying the labor day holiday here in the U.S. with my Citizen chrono diver on my wrist...doing not much of anything except taking it easy. Have a great day guys,Shawn
