President Bill Clinton Visits Detroit-Based Shinola
President Bill Clinton, founder of Clinton Global Initiative and the Clinton Foundation, visited Shinola in Detroit today. The Foundation has economic empowerment as a core mission, so the visit to Detroit makes sense. It doesn't hurt that Mr. Clinton is a major watch collector. Clinton wore a Timex Ironman and LIP watch while in office, but since has been seen wearing watches made by Jaeger-LeCoultre, Roger Dubuis, Rolex, Audemars Piguet and Panerai.The Detroit watch factory (we also visited about a year ago) is inside the College for Creative Studies in Midtown Detroit. Help a new guy feel better
Greetings all. This is my first post. I have a Seadweller, a TT Sub, and yesterday I bought a GMT II black and red bezel. The AD and the price aren't important - the salesman tried to draw me in by pointing out that there was an "error" on the dial. The "II" is not in roman numerals. I didn't think much of it, and that's not why I bought it. I just *bought it*. I can afford it, but now I have three Rolexes to go along with a Cartier and a few Omegas. It feels excessive.Help me feel better about it all. Please.

NAWCC - Find Out More - Searching the Database (Part1)

15400 on rubber strap?
While I love the bracelet, I've always wondered what the 15400 would look like on an AP rubber strap. Anyone out there do this mod yet? I suspect it will have a similar look to the RO on leather that I've seen some great pics of here on the forum (which I am a fan of) but curious if anyone has actually done the conversion with rubber. My Submariner Story
As a kid I would go to D.C. on school field trips and we would buy fake Rolexes. I was drawn to them because of the unique Cyclops date and the fact that maybe you could fool someone in to thinking it was real. As I grew older and graduated college I remember being on the subway on the way to the US Open with my Dad and seeing a guy (not much older than I was at the time) wearing a Black SS Submariner. The watch was perfect. It was luxurious but not too formal. It was sporty but not too casual. It was a Rolex but not as ostentatious as the all gold ones you would see Gordon Gekko type people wear.
