Previously on worn&wound we've discussed those watches or watch brands that manage to achieve superb design and quality in a surprisingly / unbelievably affordable price point.? Think Steinhart with their $400, ETA powered pieces, or the $200 Maratac Pilot with a quality automatic and sapphire crystal the size of your head. ?Having spent some time with the $338?Techn¨¦ GosHawk (and previously Sparrowhawk) I am beginning to think that Techn¨¦ deserves a place in that conversation.?The GosHawk pairs unique aviator styling and excellent craftsmanship with a quality Japanese automatic movement and superior components.Case: Bead Blasted Stainless SteelMovement: Miyota 8217 AutomaticDial: BlackLume: C3Lens: Sapphire with AR coatingStrap: “Saddle” Oiled LeatherWater Res.: 50mDimensions: 41.4mm x 48.7mmThickness: 12.5mmLug Width: 20mmCrown: Screw downWarranty: 1 YearCaseThe case of the GosHawk is simple and clean, matching an aesthetic seen throughout the watch. Can anyone recommend a watchband for a 1960's gold Omega Seamaster? It has a grey face. I'm looking for something elegant, but not overly expensive (under $50). I have small wrists, so I also don't want it to look too bulky. Thank you in advance! Ethan
Hi I have been given a Rigoletto Pocket Watch that is currently not working. Is it worth trying to have it repaired or is it of no value at all. Thanks for any help.image attached.
Hello,Last week I brought this limited edition Louis Erard 1931 timepiece.See link: 79 220 AO 31 | 1931 | Montres Louis ErardOnly 50 of those are made, and my is No. 03/50.I just want your opinion on this one, or maybe someone have some experience with Louis Erard.I also have Breitling for Bentley, Rolex Daytona, Skagen and Jean Ragnotti sport watch, but this one is really the timepiece that i wanted, and i don't even want to look at my other timepieces. :)Thanks.
I visited OC Tanner yesterday in Salt Lake City prior to attending the G3 concert downtown. Like other ADs, they had few sports models, however, I noticed the Explorer I they had in the display case had a very light black, almost gray dial. When I compared it to the Sub on my wrist, it did indeed look almost gray. I apologize that I didn't take any photos for comparison, but has anyone else noticed distinct color variations in black dials?
